PAP - are you sure 2804 calories was not to maintain the weight you are at the moment. I logged on and got that I had to eat 1546 calories per day to lose weight, and to maintain my weight I have to eat 2048 calories per day.

    Just a thought!

Evening my loverly cudderly fat free wannabee's :)

How the devil are we all?

Today I have been mostly working up (or is that off) a gazillion calroies by cleaning, cooking, ironing and walking

    I have eaten:
    1 cereal bar for brekkie
for lunch/dinner I had chicken, stuffing and HUGE roasties. Yummy gravy and a slice of white to mop it up :o

Following on from yesterdays chicken topic I sprinkled mine with a chicken oxo cube and stuffed it pre-cooking, both of which I have never done before - I nearly had to call the old bill after the fight for *the outside bit* (little leg's words)

Annnnnd, plenty of chick-chick left over so that infamous soup is gonna be made on the morrow - shall I set you a place Mrs S?

    Love to ya all

WOW PAP - that is a serious amount of calories to eat. However, I think it illustrates that you need to eat more to lose the weight. You may need to look at what you eat quite carefully.

You should try to speed up your metabolism a bit also. Try having a glass of hot water with lemon in it in the morning. I think there is something called PLJ (lemon in a bottle). And its been mentioned before -little and often. You burn calories by eating. If you go too long between meals your body will go into conserving the fat mode....

LOL - I know the theory - just can't put it into practise myself.

tig - I made a big fat chicken and no one bloody well wanted it - except me! So what can you do (no I didn't eat it all - though I was seriously tempted) and for some reason I missed the spuds off my online shopping. I was trying to be old style too and ordered yorkshire pudding mix so I could make my own yorkies, then realised never having made them before I didn't have a yorkie tin. DoH!

I ended up having oven chips, gravy and peas with my chicken.

I did the cleaning yesterday, just got my SIL's accounts to finish tonight, I am almost packed and ready to get on that boat round the med..

that is a lot pap - more than me and I've got more to lose than you.

Usually when I diet, I have around 1700 calories, so this time 1500 is low for the amount I need to lose but i'll see how long I can stick it out!

sammy I hope that you have a really fantastic time - you will be missed while you are away.

What are you going to do with all that left over chicken?

I did have to laugh at you though (sorry :o) in that you said your OS was to buy yorkshire pudding mix - get it made girl, its easy, and buy a bun tin - that you NEVER wash, just wipe clean with kitchen roll. The older it gets the better your puds will be.

Use LARD - and make sure it is VERY hot before you put the mixture in.
    4oz plain flour
    2 eggs
    4oz milk
    pinch salt
    beat well
makes 12 bun sized puds :):)
