We're interested or we wouldn't be reading :) Glad Mrs K. is still on board!

    HBS x
Of course we're interested and it would seem that with 4000+ hits a few others might agree!!

Agree it's very early days to measure how well you're doing on spreadsheets but think positive. And in any event, it's not the spreadsheets per se that matter it's you spending your time productively and having something to put in them.:)

    Thanks.

Mrs. K. has a few new goals away from spending money on nice things which is helping. :)

Thanks. Sometimes it seems I cannot help but look at things in a negative way.

I am just about to update the spreadsheets for the day, not really much change and it's at these times when I wonder whether to bother or not? I agree about the productivity, unfortunately today didn't start particularly well as I couldn't sleep last night (reoccurring theme, there) but I have somewhat recovered things this afternoon.

Well, you'll be pleased to know I've updated and sent the emails I'd meant to send over the past couple of weeks too. :)

    Tuesday 27th January, 2015.

    Dear Diary,

We've managed a very low spend day today (£1.20) and apart from feeding the cars tomorrow, we should have another low or maybe no spend day. After a terrible month for the business, I've had a small but most welcome order from a customer today. I am aware that how well my business does is directly proportional to the amount of effort I put in, which hasn't been much until the last few days.

I hadn't realised until today there are only 100 days to go until the election. Unfortunately, I don't think David Cameron has done himself many favours by causing such a fuss over the TV debates. Really not sure what is going to happen in May and I do worry about what will happen should Labour form a government.

After very little sleep last night and forcing myself to get on with the day's activities today I hope tonight brings some much needed rest.

    Yours faithfully,
    Alex.

For once I actually think he is right on this (that admission goes against the grain:):o). If you have to have UKIP then you should also have the Greens etc. The more of the non-parties that are represented on the debates, the more noticeable it will be that they don't have a clue beyond their specialist subjects.

Don't worry about Labour, they are just conservative with a small c not a capital C. Worry about the need for a coalition that is NOT with the lib-dems for either Lab or con. That price will really be too high.

There are now too many of the rich at the top of the labour party to cause real problems for the rich

I can understand where you are coming from but do wonder if Cameron has done more harm to his reputation than good by causing such a fuss?

As for Labour, I don't even think they know who they are themselves. :rotfl:

I think it will be interesting to see who a coalition would be with. It seems from what I have read that one of the biggest small parties in parliament this time around is going to be the Scottish Nationalists, with Labour being wiped out north of the border.....Add to that the 6 or so Northern Irish MPs and it will get very interesting indeed.

    I shall watch from afar.

Glad to see you got a customer. Sorry to see you are still worrying over Little Ks education. I am in the send him to the local school set. This will give you plenty of time to save so that you can pay for private schooling yourself. I think that might be important to your self esteem - ie not having to rely on your parents to pay for it. What does Mrs K say about the choice of school?

I'm not sure interesting is the right word if the SNP and Northern Irish MPs are getting involved ....

I had another order yesterday and really tried to put some effort in this week, so hopefully that will mean a few more. :)

Mrs. K. doesn't see the point in paying "twice" for schooling (counting tax / NI contributions). However, she was state educated and doesn't see the value. My parents are still adamant he should only attend the best school possible. Prep school fees aren't so bad but these days my old senior school charges circa £30,000 for the year.

My self esteem does not and will not be a factor in my son's education, what is best for him is all that matters. Even though at the moment, I'm just not sure what is right at this age. The local village school would provide him with things the prep school wouldn't and vice versa.

  • Hi Alex
Why not turn the thought process on its head
I don't think one school will provide everything, so what I would suggest is to make a list of what each school is missing and then work out how you can fill the gaps.
So for example if the local school does not offer music or languages can you arrange to get that provided?
If the prep school does not offer the local friends, are there other clubs etc where he can make local friends
    Good luck
    Debra
