WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?!!!! Honestly.nTart cherry is an extract from a plant. You get it from health shops. Melatonin is what the brain needs to go to sleep. You can get it as a supplement. Though I think you may need to get it prescribed...

I think that Melatonin is only availble in the UK on prescription for those aged over 55.
One can buy from health food shops or on-line something called 5-HTP which is a precursor to Melatonin, one would need to check out possible side effects and interaction with medication if using any. I have used it in the past in conjunction with the usual hot milk and relaxing music or meditation type CD's, as far as I can remember it made me more relaxed and any sleep that I did have was of a much more refreshing quality, it did, however, make me remember my dreams, I often used to say that I did not dream, but I gather that we all do if we get into the right sleep pattern, some of us do not recall them. I didn't have distressing dreams, but they were rather convoluted and mixed up in terms of time, i.e people who had no connection with each other turning up in the same dreams, most odd and sometimes I woke feeling a little put out iyswim. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. When does the decision need to be made regarding LittleK? Mini Muser will start in September too but his was an easy decision so I submitted it in October.
Sorry the sleep isn't happening!

Sorry, it's not a medical breakthrough I've discovered just that you need help with sleep and anxiety at the same time. You really need to try and see the treatments through though.:)
Is LittleK not a child who wakes early in the mornings?
Yes, I'm a lost cause. My anxiety issues are the main reason I can't sleep. Unfortunately, I find that I slip with the behavioural adjustments asked of me as a means of treatment before a new (better habit) is formed.
He does but usually my wife is here to deal with the early mornings. Whilst I often get up to take him to nursery I usually end up going back to bed if I've booked no morning meetings. Actually rather embarrassed to admit that.

There's a whole thread about it on the Old-Style board, but trust me, if it's working for me, it'll work for absolutely anyone!
Thanks.
Just the thought of it is making me feel slightly nauseous though ...WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?!!!! Honestly.nTart cherry is an extract from a plant. You get it from health shops. I didn't start it, that Gallygirl did and she's a terrible influence ...
Seriously, thanks for the information, I'll have a look on the 'net for tart cherry and remember to delete my browsing history.2018 totals:

Thank you, MaddieMay. Will have a look.
I only seem to remember the bad dreams though perhaps they are all bad just some I do not remember. When does the decision need to be made regarding LittleK? Mini Muser will start in September too but his was an easy decision so I submitted it in October.

My son has a place at my old school and another prep school. We have also applied to the village school and "results" (he will be allocated a place as it's undersubscribed) appear in April.
The village school has pros of less hours, the opportunity to make some local friends of all ages (very small school, less than 30 pupils from ages 4-11) short commute and him being able to come home for lunch. However, the other two schools have clear advantages in opportunity and should he attend the village school I think it would only be for the pre-prep years. Currently I do think the village school would make the transition from nursery to prep school a little easier as he would be able to come home for lunch for the first two years whilst he becomes familiar with a school environment. That said the "shock" may be easier for him to adjust to at this age rather than 7. Not an easy decision at all.2018 totals:

Saturday 24th January, 2015.
Dear Diary,
Had quite a positive day today and enjoyed prepping some things for sale to hopefully make something towards my £10,000 target. It's reminded me that I do enjoy making money!
No news on the essay mark yet but I have got material to read for next week; looks like that's all back on even if I've already been looking at where to go on from here... Yes, I must be one of those perpetual students.
The down side to no longer being in debt is that I'm not really sure what I'm working towards.
Yours Faithfully,

What I think you're aiming at is being person who's running a successful multi-faceted business with a regular income that enjoys spending within their means and maybe even saving a bit!!
The studying is a hobby to keep your brain in gear and maybe add an extra string to your bow.
And then you have a wife and child and elderly parents who need you.
How's that for starters???;)0 -

Thanks, maman.
You are right about the studying being a hobby; it keeps my mind occupied with something I find interesting rather than reading the news and being miserable about things I've absolutely no control over.2018 totals:

Sunday 25th January, 2015.
Dear Diary,
Not sure how long I'm going to manage to keep this up for but I've had another productive day and have even started a couple of spreadsheets to hopefully make my life a little easier if I can manage to update them. One of the reasons I don't keep records is because it can get very messy and often confusing when missing something or the alternative is writing the whole thing out again. Not anymore now I've entered the computerised world. Some on here will no doubt say this has been a long time coming ...
On the subject of trying to be a little more organised, I've ticked off over half my "To Do" list for the week commencing 26th January meaning that I'm taking some steps to start making some money again.
Now I'm just hoping these good days are here to stay though unfortunately this is doubtful on a long term basis.
Yours Faithfully,
