Only recently my Mum told me it was the evening of the first moon landing and as we were on holiday without a TV he wanted us to remember that night as special. I love the starry nights even now and I am really good at spotting the constellations.
That's a wonderful memory.
I'm fortunate to live in a place where the stars are very visible on a clear night.Crikey - that's impressive, the Plough is my limit, Orion's Belt on a good day (well, night).

Dear Diary,
The cheque has arrived and I've never been so pleased to be paying a bill!
Overall, today has been a very good day despite a bad start due to my ridiculous sleep patterns. Work has been busy and Mrs. K. has spent some more time creating a workspace. I do wonder if I was the problem and reason she decided to spend time away but will likely never find out. We also both managed a no spend day for the first time in a while.
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.2018 totals:

Alex congrats on debt going _party__party__party_. You need to get yourself on the DF Roll of Honour, then you'll get a badge & everything.

Enjoy it, the rewards of hard work. I cannot recommend highly enough waiting for a fine summer night and creating your own memory of lying in a field watching the stars.0

That said I know I'm never going to be somebody who buys their clothes from Tesco and drives a 1.0 litre shopping car.
Oi cheeky! That's me, and proud of it!! (Well, Asda and a 1.1, but that's just splitting hairs.)
Unfortunately I have not been well and it is on days like these that I consider whether or not it would be a good idea to bother my GP once again.
It's not bothering themmake them earn those lovely big salaries! Get thee back to the doc!
I'm studying a History of Art masters part time, so another "useful" piece of paper for me. :rotfl: I almost didn't hand the work in as I don't think it was up to my usual standard but my wife made me. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to this coming semester.
Better to hand in any work than none - means you don't get booted off the courseAlso, it doesn't matter what YOU think of it (because you think it'll never be good enough  ), it's what the lecturers think that counts, and whether you've ticked all the boxes for that particular piece of work. Good luck!!
Glad the cheque has been received - bet that's a weight off your shoulders! Nice work Alex

You're obviously a good teacher. Adopt me and teach me please. Daddy!!!!!!!!!

:rotfl: I enjoy teaching, it's wonderful to see the moment when a new concept is understood by the pupil.
Thank you and how do I do the debt free roll of honour ... I want my badge!tootallulah wrote: »Enjoy it, the rewards of hard work. I cannot recommend highly enough waiting for a fine summer night and creating your own memory of lying in a field watching the stars.
Thanks.
I think learning about nature and the world around us is very important to a child.heartbreak_star wrote: »Oi cheeky! That's me, and proud of it!! (Well, Asda and a 1.1, but that's just splitting hairs.)
Didn't say there was anything wrong with it. A *really* frugal life is just not for me.

It's wasting their time when I fail to do what they tell me. My biggest issues are my sleep problems which they've already stated they will not help me with.

Mrs. K. ... is that you?
Seriously, my wife said the same thing and I know she's right. The work wasn't horrendous I don't suppose but I hadn't quite realised just how different studying would be with a family and work and other things to think about than just reading books and having a good time. I'm mainly worried the piece of work will taint my previously exemplary academic record.
Thanks, I'm glad it's all over with to be honest.2018 totals:

Doesn't what start again soon? The course, if so, yes. If you mean getting myself into more debt, no thanks.

I see a badge!
And so it might not get perfect marks. *shrug* it'll get GOOD marks, and you're being a husband and father and working alongside studying this time, as you so rightly point out. You're setting a great example for Little K by doing this

That's great news about the badge Alex.:T I was amused by mse Badger. You've certainly been badgered on this thread and taken it all in good part. You're a star!!
I think both you and MrsK are setting LittleK an excellent example. For him to see daddy doing 'work' reinforces lifelong learning and MrsK setting up her own workstation gives all the right messages.0
