I do contribute to a couple of MFW diaries, some very scarily switched on individuals in there though and they all seem to like spreadsheets.

A spreadsheet is just a glorified list in a book - get one of your fancy notebooks out (I'm sure you have secret stash ;)) and one of your favourite pens (no, not THAT one, that was an investment to sell on, not to play with ) and get cracking :D.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

wow, really sounds positive, what course are you doing??

thats great about Spain, Little K will love it, - 12 months ago that wouldn't even have been thought about, good thou.

    xx

Can't say I'm doing that well on the positivity front. I'm studying a History of Art masters part time, so another "useful" piece of paper for me. :rotfl: I almost didn't hand the work in as I don't think it was up to my usual standard but my wife made me. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to this coming semester.

12 months ago my parents and I weren't really on that good terms. This diary prompted me to learn a little more about them and not be ashamed of their past. :)

I haven't entirely given up buying "fancy notebooks". ;) However, it's an infrequent occasion, all in balance.

My problem is I'm not very good at seeing something through. My wife made a spreadsheet which I failed to update, I started a spending diary which I failed to update. Combine that with a chronic case of disorganisation and it's a disaster waiting to happen... Well, there's my excuse.

  • Alex, I hope that today is a better one for you.

5 good things about being Alex:

    1. You are a fantastic dad. You only have to look at Little K to see that.
    2. You are incredibly loyal.
    3. You have a brilliant sense of humour which shows in your writing.
    4. When you put your mind to something you can achieve it (Yes, you can!).
    5. You are willing to learn no matter how painful that is.

I can think of many more...

(Just don't ask me to do it about myself because I can't do it, either).

In other matters Alex - did you know you can see the International Space Station with the naked eye? I bet Little K would love to see a shiny star flying across the sky :j. You can look it up on here:

One of my best memories of my dad was us being in Cornwall laying on our backs in a field looking up at the stars and him showing me the constellations it was completely magical and an absolute one off, we never did it again. Only recently my Mum told me it was the evening of the first moon landing and as we were on holiday without a TV he wanted us to remember that night as special. I love the starry nights even now and I am really good at spotting the constellations.

Crikey - that's impressive, the Plough is my limit, Orion's Belt on a good day (well, night :)).
