I am going to step out of the normal line here. IF you are sure you are going to be able to resell quickly (and that you WILL resell & not hold onto any watch purchase) and make a debt reducing profit then why not. If you are tempted to buy & keep then best to say thanks but no thanks!

patanne: There are a few there that I'm not interested in for me / as part of my collection but there is a profit to be made. However, I can think of three that I really would be quite interested in to keep, the bad news being that those three add up to over £10,000 and that's if they only go for the low estimates. If I do go, I think I'll take some cash and no cards, so there's no temptation to raid the business account.

I was going to say £38 on food, you are learning. That's brill. Then I saw £10000 and my eyes glazed over and I couldn't even read the rest:rotfl:

bess: It's a good thing that I cannot afford to spend the £10,000 then. ;)

I am subscribed to this thread, but don't often get the chance to dip in. However, two things...

    1. Ocarina! Lots on youtube, including https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHdhWyuc69c

    2. Little LK's schooling - I did just wonder one thing. If he's musical enough to try for a music scholarship at 13 or 11, might it actually be an ADVANTAGE to him to go to a state school until then? You know what they say 'a GCSE from state school high school is worth a lot more than one from Eton' - surely the same is true of a high standard of musical performance, and little LK has you...... :)

jobbingmusician: Thank you for your advice (and Ocarinas). At the moment we are very unsure as to my son's schooling and my wife and I both have quite different ideas as to the "best" solution. However, there is some time (not much) left.

In other news, I had a great weekend away and tomorrow I will be saying goodbye to a little more of the remaining debt. Unfortunately, the positive seems to be outweighed by the current 12+ hour days.

Aw, at least 12 hour days won't be forever! Glad you had a good weekend away - I did too, except mine was just a day in Liverpool to take my cheer exams. I passed, though :D

Nice to see the debt coming down. Good on you. Hope you can see that the momentum you are building now is a good thing, even if you are having to work long hours.

HBS: Thank you, I hope your exams went well.

Chev: Thank you, it seems as if work is what my whole life revolves around at the moment. At least it keeps my mind from other things going on quite a lot of the time.
