Haha in my industry if we hand-wrote anything we'd get odd looks. Even all our reporting is done online now,

Yes, but you're not applying for a job in your wife's industry. This is 'old school' (literally and metaphorically) that we're talking about here. I think a typed CV is enough to show you are computer savvy but that doesn't mean you have to go the whole hog!
As for the bread, that's not a major problem, just beware of going in for a loaf (presumably the 'Red Ed' organic deli type not basic sliced white!;)) and coming out with a load of other stuff. I'm surprised you haven't got a breadmaker like Dave!:rotfl:
