Sorry, it's cos I'm a girl. I was thinking about shoes and nail varnish and stuff
You need to read my posts more carefully, lady.
.
So, what do you have planned for tomorrow or are you waiting for your PA to tell you? I'd get ahead of the game if I was you as she may take pity on you if you've planned something :rotfl:. How about that pen you bought?A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

brizzle: Thank you.

As for chev's list well, I've done rather well, I managed:Your over night PA checking (ahem)
Wake upCheck.
Have a good breakfast with little K and Mrs K if possibleIf a bagel with butter and honey counts, check.
Take Little K to nursery, is there anything you can also do on this journey, so you save fuel?
Check (although this is the afternoon) but I got the ingredients for dinner whilst out.
Go out to garage and make path clear to cabinetCheck.
Does it need any work before sale.It only required polishing.
Plan workFailed.
Have a cup of teaYes, managed this.
Follow up one shop that you have shown stuff to (ie phone them)Check, tried this for the first time today, only to be told they "didn't remember". Yes, it appears I'm that memorable but I am to send the brochure to them again.
Check what tools/ materials you need to get cabinet ready for sale. Do you have them already or do you need to get anything?
Check.
If you need to get anything, then get it when you go and pick up little K to save diesal.Check.
At the same time, check what you have in for dinner, so that you can pick up anything you don't have when out.One step ahead, my dear, one step ahead.
Do teaching now if you have some. You can mention to the parents that you have some openings to see if they know anyone who might be interested. (free lesson as an incentive if they find someone?)No teaching, well not paid anyway (did voluntary work) but I may just ask my parents, don't want to be seen to be begging for work though.
Make dinner so that Mrs K doesn't have to (brownie points especially if she is tired, has had a stressful day)Check. I made a lovely pan-fried salmon steak with jacket potato and vegetables but the appreciation was low.
Bath little K and read him a story.Mrs. K.'s job.
Another cup of tea to keep you going whilst you spend time with Mrs K or else do some prep work on the cabinet.Ha! You presume she wants to talk to me.
Go to bed at a decent time, ie before midnight!:o
Sleep the sleep of the just!
chev
Reckon I've done fairly well for my first day, eh?
On another note, Chev, you've found yourself a new job.2018 totals:

Monday 24th March, 2014.
Dear Diary,
Thank you for managing to keep me smiling through difficult times and for all your tricks and tips that make my life more productive. As a reward for you putting up with me, I have prepared a full summary of today's spends, to be attached at the end of the entry.
On the debt busting front, as of tomorrow the debt to my business will be paid off by me yet again not taking a salary. That also means I can get back to making a dent in my remaining credit card debt. I realise I am somebody who cannot be trusted with freely available credit and ought to do my absolute best to stay away from it in the future. However, that is not something I am sad about in the slightest, a cash only lifestyle seems to suit me fine. Pity the same cannot be said for Mrs. K.
Summary: (rounded to the nearest 50p)
-£3.50 Cafe.
-£12.00 Groceries.
-£2.00 Bakery.
-£6.00 Mrs. K. Lunch.
-£70.00 Mrs. K. Petrol.
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.2018 totals:

It's not begging for work - its running a business in a fairly common way.Do teaching now if you have some. When you write on here about being busy you often seem more upbeat and happier than usual. Less time to think, perhaps? However, I get rather anxious every time I imagine things getting busier, probably down to me not being able to manage my time very well but I am concerned how I would cope. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

You are right.
I do not want to come across as either being pushy or as if I could do with the extra cash.
Most definitely, less time to think and more doing usually means I do not feel as low as usual. However, when my enthusiasm started to falter I struggle to maintain a busy schedule and have to force myself to do everything I need to do. It's rather difficult to explain.2018 totals:

So it takes two weeks to make a new thing a habit, so
List for today
Give Little K his brekkie, - I will trust you with waking up.
Take little K to nursery and whilst out follow up another lead with a personal visit? Also is there anything you need for dinner tonight that you can get now?
Look in each room and identify 1 object that 'could' go.
Cup of tea time
From those identified choose 1 to work on today
Phone another potential customer,
OR ask on the techy board on here to recommend an easy to do website maker
Lunch
Get Little K. If you forgot anything when you went out last time, get it now
Make dinner - even if you don't get much appreciation, it is one less chore for Mrs K to do. She works hard so this will be a help.
Teaching?
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

The two weeks concept is an interesting one as I find I can do something quite a while longer before the old (bad) habits start creeping back upon me. Not sure why.
I hadn't thought about asking on the Tech board on here regarding websites (I was going to buy a book about coding) but I think I'll ask instead, if nothing else it's free.
Yes, got a bit of teaching today.

Morning Alex, I'd second doing the grocery challenge it's how I changed my shopping habits. I did a shop on Sunday and spent under £70 in two shops (mainly a1di but I had to go elsewhere for a few bits) and that will feed 8 of us on 4 days and 5 of us for the other 3 days. We don't starve, there are plenty of snacks (fruit-whatever is in season as it's cheap! Or whatever is in the 69p a1di fruit). One thing I found helped was doing ONE shop a week rather than my 3-4 I used to do
and a meal plan as others suggest. I buy milk in bulk and freeze it as milk and bread were the main ones i'd "pop" to the shops for and come out with several other things
. We have a bread maker and it was a great buy, well worth the money ££ we have fresh bread every day and it is probably half the price in the SMs
I read it takes 21 days to form a new habit, so keep up the good work. Slightly different to you but I was abandoning my meditation practice and my teacher called me over and wrote out a routine for me every day to encompass it (I kept saying I didn't have time
) and after sticking to that for a few weeks I am well back into the swing of meditating every day
I second the cash only lifestyle that you mention. I have a cash tin with plastic envelopes and each has something written on it "grocery" "clothes" etc and I fill them with their allotted budget on payday and live mainly from them. It's much easier and keeps me in budget

Alex - think I have mentioned it before about Blogger with Google - how you can have a free blog with pages and pictures just like a website.
I have done quite a few for our community and its all free.
Updating is as easy as just doing an email and you can have different colour backgrounds and images etc.
Anyhow if you want to know more just send a message - I don't mind.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0
