Hey Alex, how's you're day gone today?

Well done for that £40 to the debts! That must have been a great feeling!

I'm so proud of how far you've come in the last week and you're dedication to writing this diary and your honesty will certainly set you up for success I'm sure of it. (That wasn't meant to sound as patronising as it did so please don't take it that way!:p).

In my book, council tax is an essential spend that is budgeted for, so doesn't count when considering no spend days!! Only thing I count is stuff that isn't a fixed monthly expense or one of life's necessities ie food. Food would count as a spend if I went over the monthly budget though.

Anyway hope you've had a busy and successful day! Xxx

wegle: Hardly had time to think today never mind anything else! However, it had been extremely productive if utterly tiring. Nothing done on the debt-free front today though. :(

I hadn't taken your reply to be patronising at all :)

ETA: It feels so good knowing I've made a start on the debts :D

Here goes: (Yes, it's short and not very good. I think it's going to be another early night tonight as I have the same early start tomorrow).

    Tuesday 10th September, 2013.
    Day 9.

    Dear Diary,

Until today, I had completely forgotten what it was like to work this hard and if truth be told I don't really think I was made for it, not day in day out at least. The day started far too early for my liking, being on the road for ten to eight this morning; I remembered just how much I used to hate commuting in the rush hour traffic, sandwiched between endless irate motorists all intent to get to the same destination: work.

Anyhow, I arrived in good time (for once) and had an extremely productive day with the same to follow tomorrow. However, I'm rather ashamed to say I was so drained by the time I arrived back home at half-past four, I left my son at his grandparents and fell straight to sleep until Mrs. K. came back from work wondering where our little boy was. :o Her words were to the effect of it must be down to my new prescription; mine were that I've got far too used to being a lazy b*****d. Fortunately, she merely thought if funny and made me a lovely stir-fry.

So, due to all that "excitement", I proclaim a no spend day. Unfortunately, it also meant a no debt-busting day but on the positive side, I've sold that chair that I bought to sell with a healthy £75.00 profit. Not bad for what was an hour's work at most.

    Summary:
    +£75.00.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.

So being too tired to spend any money is the new way forward?

Yep you've got it. If you don't spend you're saving :)!!

Loving your diary and tune in every night for the next instalment. You and Mrs K will definitely get rid of your debt, you're a great team.

    How are the pens going?

Thank you :). I hope my most recent installments have not been too bad, I'm rather annoyed I've not had the time to put into writing decent entries tonight and yesterday. :(

Mrs. K. and I are really putting an effort into clearing the debts as well as into our marriage for the first time in a while.

Two pens are up for sale, I'll certainly make a little profit on those. I'm having a hard time taking anymore photos to let others go but they will, after all, I've got Mrs. K. to answer to if I don't put them up for sale.:rotfl:
