that is fantastic news on the cards and 6 mths grace is brilliant, as they normally only like to agree to 3.
I wouldnt worry so much about the nursery, I know with DD she went to the nursery that was attached the the primary school, I had looked into a "private" nursery, but figured that those who would be in school nursery, most would go to the school, so she would know kids, xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
What a fantastic day, you have achieved a great deal, have a virtual pat on the back. :jThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

Sorry in advance for this being a terrible post, I'm not feeling particularly coherent after such a bust and eventful day, I don't feel my diary entry being particularly creative either.
Anyhow, responses:
Lannie / Roland / bess: We will look into nurseries for our son. It's probably going to have to happen at some point, as my work seems to look a little more busy for the moment.
bess: Well done on the car insurance.
heartbreak_star: I really am trying my best. And yes, I need to stop thinking along the lines of "I'll buy it because it's the best quality.... even though it's an extortionate price." No this is not just with pens either.
wegle: Thank you
Granaries: Thank you, it does help to know I'm not alone in regards to the debts and health issues. I hope you are feeling better now.
DFW321: Been to the doctors, also thank you.
fc123: That is exactly my plan re. the credit cards.I was rather stern with the people at the call centres and unwavering in what I wanted, frankly I think they were just pleased to be getting SOME money from me.
20 mins walking probably and swimming on Friday mornings.
Mrs. K. and I are going to try and talk to my parents about childcare, especially as this week they are having to have him A LOT. If this carries on, it's not really fair on them as he is starting to run rings around them at times. Not sure of the solution right now, though.
I didn't think mother was being snide, more unthoughtful. However, I do see where you are coming from.Did not inspire me in the slightest, especially as I imagined a conversation of them sneering at me at their conversation over the dinner table (my cousins to my aunt and uncle, not my parents).
Lannie: Honestly, it was sickening and I have to admit I picked up and put the phone down about five times before ringing the first one, only did in the end because I knew Mrs. K. would have been disappointed if I'd rang none of them. Thankfully, the first was a result.
Mara: I'll have to check the other positive posts on the forum. I hope they work too, the doctor basically told me to bare with them for a few weeks, so we shall see. Silver tongued? Not sure about that, hahaha.
mum2one: I spoke to the supervisors. I do hope the nursery experience will be positive for our little boy.
maddiemay: Thank you.
Again, sorry everyone for the awful standard of tonight's writing, I think I'm going to end up needing an early night tonight, got to be up early in the morning and out of the house for 8.00am .... not done that in a VERY long time. :rotfl:2018 totals:

Have been following your diary and wanted to just say well done for facing up to everything. It can't be easy making the huge adjustments to your lifestyle..
Stick with it though and you WILL get through it! Especially with all the great support you are getting here.
I wish you the best of luck

OK, here goes: Sorry in advance for any incoherence, I'm far too tired tonight to make a good job of what should have been a brilliant diary entry.
Monday 9th September, 2013.
Day 8.
Dear Diary,
Springing into week two with pizzazz and vigour seems to have come with relative ease. However, it has not been without apprehension for the future or even for the day. This afternoon brought me picking the phone up and putting it down like a b****y yo-yo and that was before I'd even made one call!
Debt busting has had a few triumphs and a couple of failures today. Firstly, the largest triumph: three out of four credit cards have gave me breathing space and one I am waiting to hear back from before I take it any further. Personally I believe they will come back to me with an offer; however, we shall have to wait and see. Further good news amounts to another pupil taken on for trial on Thursday and managing to pay £40.00 off my debts. All that said, my spending seems to have gone out of control today and that's just on the essentials!
I am looking forward to seeing how I survive this coming week, for it will be the busiest work-wise I have seen for a long while. Perhaps by the end of the week, I shall be begging Mrs. K. to become a kept man or maybe I shall actually rise to the challenge for once, who knows? As with the awkward bank, we can only wait and see. Tomorrow and Wednesday are going to be particularly difficult as both my wife and I will be out of the house almost all day, so no wonder the place currently looks like a bomb has hit it.
As you know, I visited the doctors today, not my usual one but a new one that is so large one would imagine it to be a community hospital rather than a doctor's surgery with "extras" and no, you sniggering at the back, the "extras" are no more enticing than the stark clinical room I entered to find a very easy on the eye Doctor behind that anonymous white door. Had I been a young single man, I'd only three words for her: I totally would. Hmm, not really doing myself any favours there, am I? *smirk* Anyway, on to what matters; the appointment bared more fruit than the last trip I made to see a medical professional and I'm not too worried about seeing her again, especially as she comes free on the NHS.
Summary:
-£40.00 DEBTS! Yes, finally, I've made some payments.
-£16.89 Groceries - decided to get a few days worth due to my work schedule this week.
-£7.85 Prescription.
-£59.70 Petrol.
-£12.00 Gardening stuff.
Also paid council tax, though not sure if this counts as a "spend" because it's an essential bill?
Yours Faithfully,

......part of the MSE mantra is living the same on less.
That list isn't a 'guilt-fest of superfluous spend' ...looks like mostly everyday essentials.
You may have to justify the garden stuff...only kidding, you don't need to justify anything on your thread, nor apologise as it's just the diary of your journey and we all butt in to advise, give a thumbs up, suggest options and so on.
MSE isn't about living in a dark cold room subsisting on dust just for the hell of it.:D
My next post is Routine + Structure Top Tips for the self employed (with toddler care). Will post up over the next couple od days.
I am an 'expert' on self employment and the art of procrastinationI fight it everyday but allocating time to certain things really helps. Just like in a 'Proper Job'.

snookey: Thank you
heartbreak_star: Thanks, I'm feeling quite upbeat today, probably due to the high of being so busy for once (it's a novelty).
fc123: LOL on the garden stuff, I hate spending money on that but one thing on our list is to get our house and grounds looking 'nice', instead of being a disorganised mess. Everybody's input is really helping me to stay on track so, please keep following me, guys.
Really looking forward to that post, I struggle with routine and always have done, so this should be interesting.
I am told that due to my early start tomorrow, Mrs. K. will be dragging me to bed rather shortly, oo and er, indeed.2018 totals:
