  • I've been very busy at school today~ quote.

By George what a normal thing to say.

Your life has been very isolated, and when you get out there and mix with the world you sound much more relaxed. Like the difference between brittle old paper turning to dust, and a man who has the warm sun on his skin.
  • Hello Alex! :-)

    Hope you are keeping well...
Yeah, you need to trust the 'experts' GPs etc.

Uffff it's quite a relieve to read that you didn't seek your parent's approval this time when you decided to give some of your time yo volunteering etc! When you seek the approval of others, you are given the power to be in charge of you! You are an AUTONOMOUS person and you need to carry on trusting more in yourself and follow your own decisions!
I for one, I like to come to read how you are getting on, but I couldn't help noticing your negativity and how you maintain it and refuse to side with you on that when I know it is not helpful. I, we are here to support each other and sometimes that means I, we need to be honest with you!

    Regards,
    No debts 🙌

Thank you and I hope so one day in the future. I've been very busy at school today, tired now so I apologise for any incoherence.

My future plans and the volunteering in school that I'm doing.

I thought it might be. But I think it could end up being the best thing you do. Volunteering & helping others is food for the soul, in fact, think of it as smoked salmon for your soul! :D

    Regards,

Agreed, this site has got me through some of my darkest times.

You will start to have more faith in yourself & trust your own mind & decisions, it just takes practice as at the moment it's such a new thing for you. :D:T

I'm really enjoying helping out at the school. :)

    Regards,

Keeping well but far too busy at the moment, mind I will not complain especially as things are looking up on the money front.

Thank you, I'm trying to move on with things but in all honesty I don't think some of my problems are things I can simply forget.

:rotfl: I'm surprised I'm enjoying it. In all honesty, I applied for selfish reasons. However, I think I will carry on with it, only a few hours a week (well discounting the making of materials for the pupils).

    I hope so, eventually. :)

Alex trust me there are things you will NEVER forget but you need to put them in perspective. They were then this is now. Don't let the past mess up your future.

Let things go, you can change things for you Mrs K and especially Little K or you can carry on as before.

My most favourite saying goes something like

If you keep on doing what you have always done
You will keep on getting what you always have.

Time to stand up and be counted make a change. Maybe a small change a day it doesn't have to be all encompassing. When the parentals give opinions that's all they are their opinions you don't have to agree or even like them but you simply don't have to engage just smile sweetly (maybe even say whatever in your head) and carry on what you have decided.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Thursday 16th January, 2014.
    Day 141.

    Dear Diary,

Apologies for not managing to update this for a good number of days - life has been somewhat hectic. Whilst it has been nice to be busy I have to admit I'm looking forward to the weekend. Thus far no further debt busting to report but a couple more young musicians have signed up to piano lessons - at the rate I seem to be gaining music pupils who knows that income may take over that of my business towards the end of the year!

On that note, I am currently writing a "Beginners Guide to Buying a Piano / Violin", from somebody who has never actually bought either. Hmm, I see that going well. :o OK I know a bit about violins but not really a lot about buying a piano and can hardly tell the parents to buy a 9' Bosendorfer Imperial, can I? :rotfl: So I've spent most of my evenings researching pianos at a much more modest price level, both digital and acoustic, new and used.

    Summary:
+£180.00 Music Teaching - had a good week with that. :)
-£LOTS - not really recorded this but nothing special bought just groceries, petrol that type of thing.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.

Thank you. Yes, you are right in that I need to be thinking about the future not about the past. Certainly do not want my son to grow up to be like me.

I'm OK. eBay not going so well in all honesty but there is time yet and some of it I suspected would not sell first time around anyway.

That sounds great - you should go & test some local shops both new & second hand, auction rooms etc. Keep a (yes another!) diary on your experiences... one for the local paper? ;)
