This happened a lot to me when my ds1 was young, they were always very nice about it and just offered the advice as an option to try.
The footstool- get it done up and put it up for sale on fleabay with *christmas present* in the tag lineit will sell i'm sure so get on it
Well done for using the slowcooker :T
The counselling, i've never been throughout my battles with depression as there was always a waiting list for NHS ones unfortunately but I always thought it would be a case of having to fall apart first in there and bringing out all the demons to face them and put them to rest before picking up the pieces again.
I hope today is a better dayThis week was carp for me too so roll on next week
Thank you for all you advice. We'll get there in the end.
Yes, counselling goes something like that, or I think is meant to in theory. This is the second time for me but I never stuck it out the first time.
Roll on next week for both of us, eh?Good morning Alex, so pleased that you made the counselling session, it is hard at first, but it is good positive action which will, hopefully pave the way for a better life for you and your family.
So, that's one positive from yesterday.
Second - Yummy curry.
Third - accepting some advice that may help with Little K.
Fourth - the money from teaching, pretty much covered the spends at butchers and grocers.
Fifth - (pushing it a bit, but) you now have a new item of stock to get smartened up and sold for a Christmas present.
For slow cooker recipes, have a look at a few pages from the old style board, title is something along the lines of "what am I cooking in my s.c. today", some great stuff there.
I loved Mum2one's comment to the lady at the theatre:rotfl:
Have a great day Alex and supporters, I intend to try to, a bonus is that it is forecast to be dry and possibly sunny here, may be a visit on the cards to the small town where I went to school (all those years ago:rotfl:) and had my first job, first boyfriend etc.
maddiemay: Thank you. I have to admit half the reason I'm so honest on here is somebody will always put a positive spin on negative things and make me smile.
Ahhh, the s.c. is slow cooker?I'll have a look. Mrs. K. and I will be making some scrumptious home cooked (and cheap) meals in no time!
The weather was lovely here today, we went for a walk and then had a picnic sat in the back of the Landy (Mrs. K.'s half day). Son has also been swimming, so if my mind could be replaced with a better, happier one I've not had a bad day! Unfortunately, I've been feeling terrible.2018 totals:

Mara: Thank you.
We do seem to be doing well at Christmas this year, Mrs. K. and I.
:rotfl: Not sure I've said too much to "guarantee anonymity" at times. However, I'm fairly certain no body that I know reads this diary or even if they have, they've said nothing to me.

Is that all lol. The scary thought is if we could wear pull ups, we'd probably all be happy to wee ourselves too, :rotfl::rotfl:
And on that cheery thought I shall bid farewell on my mission that ends at Friday wine o clock time ! I've been cutting down too, but I do look forward to Friday wine o clock.
Cheer up alex , as least you are not weeing yourself yet. Could be worse :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and focus on the party. Happy build up, happy party, happy memories.0 -
Glad you managed to push through the counselling. Agree with the post that said if you didn't feel unsettled, you probably didn't open up enough.
With the footstool...ah well, at least you now know of a use for it
Hope the party goes brilliantly

:rotfl: Glad somebody finds our son's latest problem amusing, I certainly don't.
How are you finding cutting down? Some days I struggle quite badly, not managed a full week without a drink this week.
Suppose I ought to look on the bright side, eh?I've got work to do this evening before any party can be focused upon.

I wouldn't worry about son Alex - kids get 'dry' in their own time - boys are usually slower than girls - especially at night.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

Your doing brilliantly, sounds a brilliant idea to give the footstool to your parents, one prezzie off the list.
Me, I'm celebrating 11 1/2yrs on crutches - had the misfortune of 2 car accidents, (1998 and 2000) both non fault, but it wasn't till I was having DD in 2002 that all hell broke lose and they realised my spine was rather damaged.... Get by, crutches do have some uses, - I so a mean demon on the mobility scooter... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

I'm sure he'll be OK, it's Mrs. K. and I who need the advice as parents. :rotfl:
He has generally been very good in the day for about six months (previous to all of this happening) but not at night.Your doing brilliantly, sounds a brilliant idea to give the footstool to your parents, one prezzie off the list.

Thank you, my parents will like it, I think. So they are just getting that and a photo of yours truly and grandson made into a puzzle for Christmas.
Sorry to hear that.2018 totals:

Friday 15th November, 2013.
Day 76.
Dear Diary,
Well, I've had another eventful day mostly due to my wife chipping in "Alex can do that" at work. What can Alex do? I hear some of you curiously whispering at the back; nothing too taxing or damning nor anything for free, just a little exam accompanying with less than a week's notice. So today has consisted of quite a lot of piano playing to learn six pieces, as you guessed the regular accompanist has let them down at last minute.
Keeping with the positives I have also had a day of Landy picnics, music teaching and taking son swimming. No debt busting achieved again but no falling off the wagon either.
Though I have managed to present a happy facade, I've really quite been struggling and glad to have been kept busy. My mother also caused us some concern today after slipping down a loft ladder at one of their properties. Fortunately the tenants are kind and she is fine. However, no matter how loud she screams she is capable both father and I think other arrangements ought to be made in regard to the day to day running of the properties they let out.
Summary:
+£50.00 Music Teaching.
-£30.00 Groceries.
-£50.00 Petrol - BMW.
Yours Faithfully,
Alex.2018 totals:
