Just catching up Alex
So your appointment for the counsellor is today? Good luck I hope it goes well
:T great news on the Slowcookerwhat is the first meal you are making? I once made a lemon drizzle cake in mine (when it was a new toy) and it was delicious, but took 8 hours  not done a cake since then in it as I can't wait that long
Oh and as for the coat incident....does your DW not already have a coati'm sure she does so perhaps you should print out Martin's manta ""Do I need it, can I afford it, have I checked if it's available cheaper elsewhere?" (there is a link on here somewhere to print it off
well done for not buying it though

Also read somewhere about 'shop at home first' - so if you need clothes or food - check you don't already have something you could use in your own cupboards - I have often found that I did!!Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

Well, had an eventful day and can't say I feel particularly great after my first counselling session, in fact my mind is shot to pieces. I've also spent money today.
I seem to have had a day filled with bad news.2018 totals:

OMG am I encouraging another pen & green ink addict?!
Pelikan make some beautiful pens for when your child gets a little older, expensive though.
:rotfl: Most likely ...LannieDuck wrote: »Ohh, I had a calligraphy set when I was little - lots of fun

If this pen "bug" spreads further would that be what they call "going viral"?
:rotfl:Seems to be already spreading after you have taken my inspiration.

I shall likely write about my experiences with the counsellor later, don't feel up to it now.
We have done a curry, will be eating it in less than a hour as son has his meal at nursery (that's been a nightmare today too).
She has lots!Thank you for the encouragement.

Thank you, I ought to do this, clothes wise I'm sure I could find something for most occasions for years to come and so could Mrs. K. Food though, we don't keep much in.2018 totals:

Well rest after your stressful day Alex - and if there was a disaster at nursery - don't worry - we've all had them with tantrums. I used to have t carry mine off the beach screaming blue murder as he would never leave - or get into seat belts without a huge fight - have been reduced to tears myself - what fun!!!Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

Need to be banned from outofthecity.co.uk (I was a regular customer and they send me emails) ...
To be honest I went on there because I got an email
Most emails like this have an unsubscribe thingy at the bottom...But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

:rotfl: I suppose they've seen it all before (nursery). My wife and I have been told we are tackling one particular problem in the wrong way.theoretica wrote: »Most emails like this have an unsubscribe thingy at the bottom...

Thursday 14th November, 2013.
Day 75.
Dear Diary,
If I were to pretend today has been a good one, I'd be lying. Counselling was similar to what I remember before, coming out feeling rather battered and would rather not go into the details of it. At times like this I wonder if I am ever going to overcome depression though in my battle to, I'm going back. In regard to my illness sometimes I read back what I say on here about my mental health and feel extremely embarrassed, for I wouldn't admit to half of it in the real world. However, in some odd way it helps to write about it.
Like the idiot I am, I ended up browsing the antiques shops and bought something I don't really need. Whilst it would sell for the £70 I bought it for all day long and perhaps more, it was still a stupid impulse buy that I now feel guilty about.
Just to put the icing on the cake my wife and I have been having a problem with our son for a couple of weeks which came to it's peak at nursery today, cumulating in us getting told off for apparently making the situation worse. Moving swiftly onto debt busting, hahaha, you must be joking if you think I've managed to get anything done on that front.
The one positive of the day has to be the slow cooked creamy curry we had this evening, whilst terrible for one's health it was utterly delicious.
Summary:
+£25.00 Music Teaching.
-£60.00 Counselling.
-£7.50 Groceries.
-£20.00 Butchers.
-£70.00 Victorian Footstool.
Yours Faithfully (from an annoyed with himself),
