gallygirl: I'm not an embarrassment whilst on holiday because they all speak English. ;);)

Why does it seem my diary is turning into a discussion on "Brits abroad"? :rotfl:

Fruit-infused gins and vodkas are also fabulous, though I may try that rum!

I'll second that, even though I'm meant to be cutting down my drinking. I can't see that going particularly well in December.
Frozen veg...no peeling, no chopping, no mess, no watery eyes, no waste...and thusly no prep or tidying time :)

    HBS x

I'd not thought of that. :o

However, we get given so many vegetables from our neighbour that we hardly ever have to buy any.

 It appears the lightbulb is flickering somewhat :(. I almost bought Mrs. K. an early Christmas present just a few moments ago (put it in the basket and started filling out my card details) - Dubarry jacket for £200 (was £300).

It's a brown out not a black out cos you didn't complete the purchase :T

Love to see some pics of the rainforest...sounds amazing. Well done to both of you. Mini-k will be speechless.

Roland: Indeed. However, it has made me realise just how I used to spend money so easily! Need to be banned from outofthecity.co.uk (I was a regular customer and they send me emails) or perhaps just from browsing websites late at night when there's nothing else to do. :o

To be honest I went on there because I got an email and I thought I might pick up something for son, which Mrs. K. would appreciate as it'd be one present down. Still rather tempted to buy her the coat for Christmas as it's a brilliant price but way over our allowance.

I may point my parents in the direction of what to buy Mrs. K. this year, instead. ;)

Not sure he will be speechless as he lives here too as has seen us "building" it. It's not finished yet but if we remember, before we take things down I'll take some photos.

Granaries: I'd have suggested a nice pen for your child to begin a collection with but know I'd be sent to hell for such a suggestion on here. :rotfl: ;)

Well for starters I got a "first pen" for Left Handers (Pelikan Griffex), a Calligraphy Set with various different coloured inks & a lovely book with blank pages... thanks for the inspiration!:A
OMG am I encouraging another pen & green ink addict?!
