Toots the comment about stoozing is a good one. OK, the card can stay! I just wont use it for now. I get American Airline points with my other card and have enough for flights to the USA and back for me so am hoping to use when mortgage free to go and see a friend
And thanks Elantan for the kind words.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Have decluttered 3 inches of paperwork (I'm counting each inch as 1 thing), 1 hot water bottle cover that kept the hot water bottle so well insulated it gave off little heat and a Christmas present that was not actually mine but on the way to someone else. In the declutter frenzy I opened the gift and ate the chocolate mints inside and now feel sick. 21/365
I suppose feeling sick is punishment for that. Goodness knows what I was thinking of, I don't usually eat sugar so no wonder I feel sickMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Watty, yes, the travel is a good point too - I was very blase wandering about Greece the first time I went back after my student trips there, I knew that I could turn up and just find a hotel straight away, it made things very easy. I'd want a degree of pre-booking now, but for emergencies, you can't beat it.
Sorry you're feeling sick!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I only have myself to blame Karmacat. Expect Gallygirl will understand.
Financial organisation continues. Removed savings pot from signature as needed the cash for tax! Paid tax and paid accountant for doing own tax return. Am hoping he will finish company year end accounts soon but suspect he is busy with end of January stuff for clients.
Thinking about financial freedom I need to take an overview of finances properly. Have been very focused on house mortgage but have not really thought about other areas so will start looking at that.
First area to consider is the property that is let out. I think I could get a cheaper mortgage and also need to talk to management agent about their fees!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Major decluttering effort yesterday evening. Have now done most of the living/dining/kitchen area (its open plan). Found a lot of stuff that was 'lost', thrown out rubbish and some cleaning done. Made a soup to use up split peas and made a fish and butter bean stew to use up part of the butter bean mountain in cupboard.
Total now stands at 29/365Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

The de-cluttering sounds great, as I am doing mine I have found 17 pairs of specs (those ones from TK Maxx that just magnify) - no wonder I keep buying them they were all in boxes!0

:rotfl: have 15 shoe cleaning brushes! Heaven knows why, I'm not exactly a shoe cleaning kind of girl.
Spent most of the day travelling to/from dentist so no financial news other than an ebay sale 30/365.
Had to buy a pair of jeans as have gained weight. Need to loose some fat around the middle. Means I have to take up exercise other than just riding. Research needed.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
