Looked at little flat - and - have made an offer. Agent has led me to believe that they have had another (same) offer today so have supplied proof I actually could pay for it (lucky I got that from mortgage broker) and wait to see if other "offer-er" can prove he can pay too.
And, am in process of re-mortgaging other property which should start to contribute £100 a month to our income for 2 years by which time rates will shoot up and I shall complain I am broke once againMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Waiting to hear back from agent.
Office a chaos zone due to an attempt at decluttering and the intention to start price increase plan that was going to happen over Christmas and never did - and - normal work. Think I may have to start taking work piles to the dining room as I cannot believe the mess I have createdMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Popped into village for bananas and saw friend who had a lot of financial difficulties last year. We've both been invited to a christening and she wasn't going to go as was worried she couldn't afford petrol and can't afford a gift. Told her I'd give her a lift and that it was more important to be there than do the gift thing.
Need to creatively think about something that could be a gift without cost as it were! Am thinking babysitting???
Decluttered a candle (by giving to said friend) and the ensuite (45/365) and now must return to work.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Watty, thats a lovely thing to do for your friend, and you're spot on about being there, rather than gifting. What gift she might give is a good thing to mull over - depends how old the baby is? If its very young, even cooking, or doing some cleaning, would probably be a godsend (as I mentioned on my diary, my sister came over at the weekend to do a bit of cleaning for me, it was priceless
) but of course babysitting is a great one.

Major client and good friend died yesterday. Unexpectedly. Puts a lot into perspective.
