Does the idea of no credit cards scary you?
    QUOTE]

Oh yes! I was once stuck in Ireland with a card that the bank had helpfully blocked because it had been used outside the UK and no other cards, no cash because I had used up all my Euros at the airport and then Sleazyjet cancelled the flight. 10 pm at night and no money and a mobile phone that wouldn't work either. Not fun. A second credit card would have been really useful. Luckily the airline provided a hotel and I told the hotel I had no way of paying for food and they gave me breakfast and then, to get to the airport the next day, I told the bus driver he could give me a free trip or I could beg the passengers for the fare :rotfl: He gave me a free trip. Luckily at the airport I found someone I knew who bought me food so I was ok til the evening - but - the experience taught me that one card is never enough - the idea of being without cards would be way too scary :)

Sorry about your trip to Ireland but it will be one you will not forget and you'll be able to tell your grandkids about it!! :D
I have had lots of fun with debt cards in my travels but like you - it all turned up okay in the end! :)

    Hope your teeth are good!
Teeth cleaned and polished then collected brace for which he did not charge me as I hated it so much I probably won't use! It is for lower teeth as I have a gap in upper teeth where I really need an implant but haven't had one put in yet. Brace should stop lower tooth over-erupting or something. Am sure a less fastidious dentist wouldn't even bother!

Equine physio been for horse and he is now to progress to ridden work and next check up in 2 weeks.

Really must do some work now!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Exhausted thermals thrown out. Was surprisingly hard to do as they still seem to have some life in but I do have to admit am considerably warmer in the new ones. Along with returning 4 items to their owner, an empty box (!) and a pair of slippers that were torn the declutter total is now 37.
Am still eating my way through mints and researching weight loss options! In other words not doing anything about that :rotfl:
Made an appointment to see a flat for sale that should have an investment return of 8.5% and may thus contribute to financial independence plans for 2015

True, it is :) For me the diary was just a way of keeping going with the overpayments but somehow that morphed.

Sent an old duvet cover to Mr Watty's barn (38/364)

And have started the ball rolling on changing the mortgage on our previous house which we let out. I left it trolling along on its SVR of 4.89 when the deal expired as I dreaming about overpaying it but my focus is on our home mortgage rather than overpaying both so am switching it to another *deal* now and seem to have found one via broker at 2.80 % which seems very good.

Good luck with viewing - exciting :T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

No!! I am taking a firm line on this stuff. Today out went 2 casserole dishes that were fairly useless without their lids 42/365

    Will report back.

Thinking about finances led to a review of the business figures and I have now spent most of the afternoon reading and reviewing. School report time: "could do better"
