Research completed. Now have to submit details to chosen charity to ensure they will take on the horses. As neither Mr Watty or I have any children I feel much quite settled about leaving a legacy to two charities, one for dogs and one for equines, both of which will take on any horses or dogs we may leave behind us and ensure they are appropriately cared for.
Just need to decide rest of details now.

When we sorted out our wills last year, the bulk of the last survivor's estate will go to various charities that have meaning for is.

How annoying about the vet, I hate being messed around by people I'm paying. I give them the benefit of the doubt the first time they let me down.... But if there's a second time, I usually look for someone else.

Thanks Al and GoldieGirl. Vet is a difficult one as is a former neighbour and has always been very fair, and, I knew him socially when he was with his wife (they split, no longer social with either of them). He has phoned back this evening and handsome baby booked into surgery for investigations on Wednesday. That is his "benefit of doubt" chance as Goldiegirl described it.
Decluttered another pile of papers 54/365.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Feeling a bit down. Pony still lame. Booked into vets on Weds.
    Office a tip.
Work - really having an unmotivated time with that!
Threw 2 items in recycling that were destined for charity shop. Havent got there in over a week and I think it is better stuff is "out" of house. 57/365.
Today the plan is to try and clear office up. Made a start by packing some orders, now aiming to clear desk by lunchtime.

Working away and was feeling a plan was coming together when the colour printer packed up. After some research it is only suitable for pensioning off :(
Rang a printer in the nearest town to get the printing I needed done - £180 + VAT if I want it tomorrow or £115 + VAT if I can wait till the end of the week. Thought that was a bit steep and remembered hacking past a house that had a "printers" sign outside so quick google and phone call and 'neighbouring company' will do it for £30 all in!! Bless them. And I could walk to their door - they remember seeing me and Handsome Baby going past. How lovely to meet a neighbour :)
Was also doing end of month finances - and - think there might be a little overpayment to make - but - will have to wait til tomorrow as printer fiasco took up much of afternoon.

How annoying about the printer, but great that you found a local person at a fraction of the cost of the town printer.

It's nice to support local business people when possible :)

That was lovely to read :T:T:T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Not great. We spent a lot of today at vets. He has bilateral lameness - in other words - both front feet are lame. Right worse than left. Nerve blocked both fronts and the problem is in feet. X-rays done. Pedal bone - a large bone in foot - is at wrong angle on both feet and this has been putting a strain on tendons/ligaments at back of leg.
Vet now to talk to farrier about remedial foot trimming to see if he can correct.
Bit fed up - but - it may be fixable so trying to hold on to that.

I'm sorry to hear about HB. Hopefully the farrier will be able to help
