Well done on sorting out the financials.

If only they could talk and tell you what the problem is, whether it's a physical thing or a mental thing. I do hope you get to the bottom of it all

Lovely riding instructor coming to school Most Handsome and see how he behaves.

Cleared a work project for an outfit I was thinking of dumping and yay the offered me an extra £300 for it. Most happy :) Still clearing pickle from last month where I let attention slide and this will be a most welcome help.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Joy at the extra £300 short lived. Received a number of fraught emails yesterday and wasted entire afternoon on the project clearly caught in a crossfire between warring tribes. Received a number of very derogatory emails.
Felt entirely sick with the stress of it all. Spending Saturday in office catching up with work that didn't happen because of all the kerfuffle. And thinking hard about my next move. Don't want to do anything reckless but can't actually take much more of the daftness.

    Sorry to hear about work.

It must be much more difficult to out it out of your mind when you are self-employed

Hope you are able to think things through and make the right decisions for you

True Goldiegirl. But lovely friend came over this evening and spent whole evening coaching me on how to behave like a political animal and answer questions in correct style so I can go to meeting Monday evening and hopefully sit with warring tribes and not lose patience! So kind of him.

  • Watty, I'm really sorry to hear about the work troubles and I'm glad a friend came and gave you some coaching.

Really hope all goes well for you.

Hopefully your stress levels will reduce soon - how about a bath with a little lavender oil?

    Best wishes Tilly x

    Hi Watty,

Just echoing Tilly's words sorry this work project has been carp but good that you have a good friend to help. Hope the meeting goes as well as these things can x

Also agree that you need to have the distance from this before you make a decision about future work although you had said it was already something you were thinking about - so just remember to bear in mind what prompted that when you come to reassess x

Hope all is good otherwise and horsey feels better soon x

Thank you all for your lovely virtual support :)

Meeting went well. Friends coaching was fabulous. I used all the phrases I was provided with and only lost the plot once when I fear I sounded more like Jeremy Paxman than a politician :)
The result of meeting was I feel less inclined to throw in the towel which is good news for the money pot and - I didnt' agree to take on any extra work which is good for the stress levels.
The bosses really do seem to have communication issues but that is one I can't resolve :)
Feel a lot better about it all today, and, just so grateful for the coaching I received.
