This Time I'm Really Going To Do It

2 items sold on ebay - total £7.49 made. Am really surprised at this as the sales were for 2 bath bombs and a tube of body lotion, both from a special offer pack bought in sales in January for a bottle of perfume. That made the perfume totally free (am still using it up).
Toiletries often seem to do well on eBay.
When I go on cruises, there's always bottles of posh shampoo etc in the bathroom for us to use, so I bring it home and sell it on Ebay. Last time I made £12 !Early retired - 18th December 2014

Oooh how did you find the event, guessing it was 'the convention'? I hear it was very impressive but not always useful to mere mortals who don't spend less time passaging and more time p***ing off!
I got some free tickets to your horse live so hope to learn a bit there. And then shop. Whoops.Mortgage Apr 18 £417,894 BTL Mar 18 £162,857

Thanks for the lightbulbs comments.
Yes Floppy it was "the convention" and actually whilst I had a nice w/end away (and cheap as 3 of us shared a cheap hotel room) I actually didn't think it was worth the money and was less than impressed when presenters didn't stick to the programme. The Sunday was just a repeat of Saturday's demonstrations and I really don't think Handsome Baby will be making it to Olympic standard anytime soon.
Enjoy "Your Horse" - that might be fun - when is it ?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
I seem to have lost my MFW mojo. Seem to have done very little on that front. Must find it .........Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Am seriously considering a BTL property. Pension review indicates retirement may be some way off. Rang four estate agents late afternoon and not one available to come to phone or rang back! Was thinking it was a sign from the universe to abandon plan, when, remembered friends partner works for an estate agent so quick chat with them this evening 'researching'Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I think that it is a bit weird in the London housing market at present prices have gone up so quickly this year. From a standing start will a btl deliver quickly enough for you?. I am now renting out two flats and the income Is significant on one, but the other makes no money and just overs costs (I am seriously thinking of selling that one as it has increased in value a lot) my mortgage free flat delivers £11000 a year so very significant.
I really hate being a landlord and find it stressful but at present it works for me. For me I am a hopeless saver but good payer so getting mortgages paid off works for me and I probably wouldn't save or invest so consistently.0 -
It's the 8-9th Nov Watty! Not sure which day we're going but either way you'll probably find me at the cash machine.
Glad there's much cleverer people to comment on the BTL, thankfully I don't think I'll ever have enough money to worry about additional pension planning!Mortgage Apr 18 £417,894 BTL Mar 18 £162,857

Me too... but trying to get back on the wagon and reading about your progress has helped! So thanks! Glad that horsey things are going well and good luck with the BTL research.Sealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

Well I'm not in London luckily or I could never even afford to consider the idea, but, I think Tootallulah has summed it up perfectly - will the BTL deliver quickly enough ????
That's the focus of the research! Its only worth doing if it can contribute to my income in a meaningful way making it possible to give up work sooner rather than later.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
