That MSE tool for the insurance job checker was quite interesting.

I found that next year, by describing myself as a housewife instead of retired, I could save £8 on my car insurance.

With petrol, we always fill up at Sains, although there are two petrol stations slightly nearer, Sains is more convenient. Plus we get the Nectar points.

But must start looking at petrol prices, just in case there is a big variation.

Hiya Watty, I am pulling out my sweet peas today such an end of the summer feeling but really to have picked them until mid October is brilliant, I love sweet peas and grow loads, I have saved some seeds for next year so it probably wont feel too long before the cycle starts again. I picked all of the remaining tomatoes yesterday too. You sound like the food plans etc are really working, good luck with the rest of October.
  • Hello Watty, are you feel better? Can't believe how quickly the cold weather has arrived. How are you managing your OPs now, do you have separate pot? Not putting it all on the mortgage asap?

Bonkers isn’t it! My description is the cheapest of those available to me honestly, but, I was surprised at Mr Watty’s small saving.

Definitely the end of summer L I didn’t think to save seeds, but, to be honest this lot were not as prolific as some years so I’m ok with that.

A woodburner must feel like a real treat at times. My fingers have started to go numb, time to turn on the CS!.

And this is the other sign of summer’s end. We don’t turn on our heating, just use the stove, opening it up to let out more heat as we need it. The upstairs gets cold sometimes but we can always snuggle up – or – use hot water bottles J
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Getting there. Can't believe how long this bug has lasted. Not feeling sick every time I eat so that's good news! Just finished the packet of digestive's for lunch and now they have all gone as has the breakfast cereal think is time to get back to my usual diet and see how that goes (I usually don't eat sugar!)

As for the mortgage ... well.. this month I've had to catch up and clear the expenses from last month which was a very spendy month although as Dedicated said, my spends were about the lifestyle I want to lead, rather than random spending, and that made me feel a lot better :)

Anyway that means not a lot for the overpayment pot, but my plan is to continue to throw everything at the mortgage. We've an emergency fund that will cover 2 years expenses if it has too, and, I would only touch that for another property as in a buy to let but sorting that out is a way off. So, for now, its throw everything we can at the mortgage, even though this month there is nothing spare other than £52 sitting in the overpayment pot !

Lovely Sunday. Yard instructor owns was having a combined training (dressage and jumping) for their clients so, as I haven't been on Mr Handsome since he clattered off and needed dentist and chiropractic attentions I offered to 'help' and spent Sunday writing for dressage judge then jump scoring.
Was lovely day:) but didn't do day 14 of MtM so ...day 14 slash your mobile phone bill. Use billmonitor.com to analyse mobile phone usage and best tariff. OK, this sounds as if I need to pay attention, but, Mr Watty and my phones are linked, and I want to change my phone at some point and finally lose the antiquated phone I have.
Busy at work then will look at this one.

  • You're making me want biscuits, bad Watty! Hope the proper food hits the right spot.

Any temptation to have a go at combined training yourself? It's one of my goals this winter!

Absolutely. Is one of my goals for this winter too :)
Mind you baby has taken to !!!!!!ing off for no apparent reason so need to work out what is going on there before I venture back to competing. Instructor suggests getting physio back out.

Well where did the last 3 days go? Somehow lost them. Was about to claim a 'no spend' them remembered £3 on pilates last night. And I have an urge to buy a hulahoop as I read it would be good for core strength. Am trying to ignore urge as my fitness ideas never last.

Day 15 of MtM was all about not phoning expensive phone numbers and gave a couple of websites to use to find real numbers rather than the expensive 0870 style numbers. Have bookmarked them. So far this MtM has turned into a lot of bookmarked pages :)

Have listed 2 items of ebay thou and have bids on both so that was encouraging. My old scanner hasn't sold on there so popped on Freecycle and have someone interested in it - will be good to get that bit of kit off dining room floor.
