Watty, I have a wonderful image of you pulling and pushing a hoover around a field hoovering the poo up :rotfl:. I know it must be nothing like that but I haven't half laughed. Thank you :D

Oh dear, yep long lush food can be very scary to youngsters sometimes! I would try to finish a session with you on board though, maybe doing something a little easier at the safe end of the school for example.

Rather like both the band and the dish (Meatloaf) :)

Ally it is rather like you imagine actually - except that it is considerably larger than a domestic hoover and is pulled by a quad bike but it has a hose just like a domestic hoover :) Glad you had a giggle :)

Quick catch up, no idea where the last couple of days have gone. Busy at work, took Handsome baby for a hack again yesterday and we went round the fields again with lovely neighbour and then today went and hired a lorry to go to a show tomorrow. Very well planned :rotfl: as zip has broke on boots whilst I was cleaning them. Mr Watty said surely I had a spare pair so after much rummaging I found my old long boots and there is a large split in one at the ankle. As I can't plait baby's mane (am very bad at plaiting and his mane is very unruly) I think the pair of us will look shambolic rather than professional :rotfl: :rotfl:
But he gets to travel in a lorry again and see some sights and I get to have another go at a showground which is good for me and builds my confidence. Will sort out what classes to do when we get there. It is cheaper to enter in advance but to do that I would have needed to planned in advance and have confidence that we will actually get there. :) We may spend the day attempting to persuade handsome baby that lorry is worth getting in!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

It always amazes me how intuitive some people are with horses. Your instructor sounds more like a horse whisperer as well as instructor...lucky you. I have a sore hip too, and right now would welcome being turned out in a field in this lovely weather:D
Hope hip improves quickly - but - the weather here is awful. I've had to resort to lighting the woodburner to get washing dry. Enjoy good weather while you have it ..seems to be fleeting at the moment. Woodburner in July !! Honestly!!

He's a native isn't he? No need to plait if so! Best of luck with the loading and showing, and boot shopping?!

I probably missed the moment (unless you're still trying to get your poppet into the van) but good luck with the show!

Hope the sun has been shining for you and that the judges recognise the unique appeal of unruly mane and split boot. Perfection is soooo over-rated, no?

Show Day. Definitely not MSE :) Did 2 in hand classes in which most handsome came 3rd in both, though there were only 3 in one of the classes :rotfl:and one ridden, in which, sadly he was the only participant and the whole thing was running so late that I was stressed out of my mind with worry as it was indoor past a gallery that had children playing in and jumping around and a coffee show that had people wandering about in. I had had way to much time to consider how scary it all was. So, because I was fretting about it all most handsome was very tense and unsettled. Venue was indoors and there wasn't anywhere to settle and munch grass and chill out during the long wait that happened because some classes ran well over time. Will look for a more traditional show venue next time around with grass rings :)

Judge was lovely though, most encouraging and at the end after the class he did a lovely trot round where he and I both relaxed. If only I could remember to relax before we start!

And loading was a dream. On lorry in 5 mins on the way out and straight on on the way home. So that was a real positive and handsome baby was very well behaved all day. And it was a long day!
Indian take away for tea as both Mr Watty and I tired.
