This Time I'm Really Going To Do It

Todays achievement: have blocked a number of websites from my computer.
This might not sound particularly MSE or MFW but it will save a lot of time and thus may increase work and so income. I confess I spent way too much time on computer games. Time which could be better spent with FoggyFellPony, Handsome Baby or actually working. And I realised yesterday it had become very addictive. So, have blocked sites. Somewhat restless but have a list of work things to do and am off to DIY Pilates this evening.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Just catching up with your activities.
I liked reading about your cultural activities.
While I was on holiday we went to an evening concert in Vienna, a 34 piece orchestra playing Strauss and Mozart. Another evening they had a few local perfomers visiting the ship for an opera evening.
I still love Meatloaf and Green Day.... But it's a lot of fun trying other types of music.
I smiled when I read your post of 4th July, about the breakfast in the sun at the cafe. I know I said on my thread that I was trying not to think about retirement that much..... But every time we go out for a coffee during the week, or visit a garden centre, we're always saying that we'll be doing fun things all the time when we retire.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Oh well done Eddy! Shame about the conference call but you did have the afternoon for fun you're still doing better than most of us here!

Just had quick catch up Watty, you're doing brilliantly with the mortgage and the decluttering, that pay off date will come round very quickly at the rate you're going, well done!
I understand about wanting to build a buffer re: being self employed. I really have to get this in hand ... my progress with emergency fund is just rubbish, but I know the answer isn't to work harder, I don't have the capacity so I guess I'll just have to work smarter!
I know what you mean about those cheeky times out too, it's not a case of wishing the years to retirement away, but a wish to make more of your time in the ways you enjoy the most, nowt wrong with that. Glad you are able to get your place how you want it outside,as clearly you love the horsey habit. I really think the saddle fitting could be a perfect next venture for you, you come across as so knowledgeable about all aspects of horse husbandry, riding etc.
Enjoy the rest of your week. xStash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

I am sooo much less wasteful now. The new feet arrived for the blender, so cleaned the base with acetone - I was going to use nail varnish remover but Mr Watty had something stronger in the barn, stuck new feet on and felt totally proud of self for renovating it. Noticed Mr Watty's jeans had a rip in and insisted he remove them ...briefly he was excited before realising I was only wanting to repair them before the rip got worse and rendered them useless :rotfl::rotfl:Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

How lovely to see folk dropping by and commenting. I am really enjoying this community. It has been an unexpected joy to have company along the way.
Riding lesson this morning, handsome baby right silly billy, was very tense and spooking until eventually lovely instructor offered to have a go. She found he was scared of something in the long grass so I'll have to strim it down because we couldn't work out what he was seeing and also he had a sore hip. She did some work with him to stretch out hip and then we turned him out. Disappointed not to ride but fascinating watching instructor. Seems handsome baby is quite a nice looking chap really, the judge was obviously right
Somehow the day has run away with me ...its 4.30 pm ..how did that happen? Who stole my afternoon?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

It always amazes me how intuitive some people are with horses. Your instructor sounds more like a horse whisperer as well as instructor...lucky you. I have a sore hip too, and right now would welcome being turned out in a field in this lovely weather:D0
