Sending hugs @Watty1. UTIs can make you feel truly dreadful; are the meds working yet? Understandable that you feel bogged down with The Situation; I know you have a plan and are more than capable of putting it into action. What's the next step? Don't lose sight of how wonderful you are; you will get there. Love Humdinger xx2

I hate UTIs. As Humdinger says they can make you feel dreadful. They are really weird because you feel like you have a raging temperature & act like you have but when you take it then it is not much above normal. Hope those meds work quickly.

The stuff is working. Should take 48 hours to clear according to the research I did. I will buy another tub for "just in case" when places re open.
Next step is the pre planning meeting I had planned to spend today doing more clearing in preparation for that but feeling under the weather and yet more rain and wind is putting me off. Have been soaked twice today already.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Thank you for the good wishes. I feel excited by the start of a new year. I've set some goals for this year. In 2019 I did a confidence building course and I went back and read the goal setting section. There was some fabulous stuff in there. I did the exercises and I'm focused. It was so much fun I think I might redo all the other sections too.
I might have lost 3/4 of my pension plan to the ex which is a challenge at my age but it is time to move on and focus on new dreams. I've signed up for the £10 a day challenge, each day that passes is another day to finding out if "the project" is doable, my Charming Cob is recovering well, my credit card is maxed out, my business has faced a lot of challenges with Brex!t and the mail strike but it is still here with me and I'm still earning so there are some positives to focus on.
New Years Eve, last night, was spent with good friends. One sweetly hosted and cooked a wonderful veggie curry and rice and served me and the VNM later than everyone else because his mum needed a visit. We left early because of the horses and fireworks, watched fireworks with the horses who were angelic and didn't pay any attention which was reassuring. I then went to bed having had too much fizz with the girls and the VNM felt he really should get a late night drink in so I left him watching TV.
Despite the ex I feel hopeful and optimistic about the year ahead.

Fantastic day. I've begun to tidy up my office ready for the start of the working week. Then set about preparing for the visit for "the project" which happens next week. On the day we will move machinery, the VNM has been tasked with making sure it is all running the day before and then helping to move very early on the actual day. Everything else is done and ready. Just my nerves and anxiety to keep in check now. I can't influence things, I've done all I can. Everyone is prepped and my sister and a friend of mine will be in the house to distract the ex in the unlikely event he appears (he should be at work).
As part of the prepping for the visit I have put a couple of things that were laying around on Marketplace, technically these are the ex's but I can almost hear you all saying "so what" LOL He hasn't used them for the longest while and my theory is if he wanted them he would have taken them when he cleared a lot of his stuff out. I backed out of selling jointly owned machinery as that felt wrong but smaller items I can manage! Fingers crossed for a sale.

@Watty1 that is fab! This year will see everything sorted, I'm convinced, and I don't think it will take long either, now you've got to this point. Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx4

My ex moved to the other side of the country & basically forced us to move out. He obviously knew when we were having to move & I decided anything he hadn't taken was mine to do as I wished with. The tip was quite busy, with a car boot sale later. By then I actually considered it quite fun. You have to take your pleasures where you can!
