It's not fair on you, or the fell pony, if you haven't the time or resourses that would be needed.Taking the rescue, on a trial basis, solves all your problems without all the hassle and headaches of trying to juggle too many things. You've got enough on your plate at the moment so be kind to yourself. (((hugs)))I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Jury out but coming down on the side of ignoring all the sensible advice after a chat with the Fell Pony owner. If MH does not like the Fell then the owner will take Fell back. The reason I am short of time is I spend over an hour a day travelling to work and back because of not living near the business. If the ex settles i will get that time back. And I will save a lot of money in paying rent and two sets of bills and, and here is a big plus, if everything or anything goes wrong the Fell Pony owner will take the Fell back to live with her. I can take the Fell out for a walk with the dog each day so the Fell will get used to the world and I think this could actually work.
And TBH the bills for elderly rescues do mount up ... i know.. I have been there and done that! Thinking .......Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
Make sure you get it in writing from the Fell pony's owner.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

In other news I believe the right term is i have "discharged my solicitor". To you and me it means i have fired them. Paid their last bill today. I have been dithering about this for some time but today I finally did so. I always believed that with just one more letter we were done but no, never seem to be done. Have dispensed with their services. I feel relief at this.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

It is indeed to nice to start over. As far as i can see i just need a conveyancing solicitor to sort out the property transfer. We have agreed the price.
Found out via slightly devious means that the Ex has bought a house. A very good buy I thought, nice end of terrace in need of some work and for a very good price. he will be one wealthy man. Watch out worldI think he proposes to just live in our old house until the place is "done up" he goes there every day he is off work I discovered and peering in the windows as I did I can see it still requires a lot of work. It was a bit of a farce as, and don't ask now
I had narrowed the potential street down to one so used the land registry to work out which house. Having read "The Art of War" I decided a reconnaissance trip was in order to gain facts. Now I have facts. I also had a lot of fun finding the facts out and inventing an old and ancient aunt who lived in the house many years ago and wanted pictures of it as a good cover story and I can be chatty and charming.
Now i have facts i can see how he is hoping this will play out and I don't think a solicitor will speed him up. There is little i can do. I've explained that I am not paying any more bills or money to him, I have sent him all the figures in past so wont be doing that again and also added that he has been getting a tax break as I have been declaring the income not him but, as we are now separate he should have declared his half the income to the inland revenue. My final letter added I was not taking this further but I would be leaving it to him to do the right thing! I added it was disrespectful to keep writing via lawyers when I said I would not discuss "goods and chattels" via lawyers and that the matter was now closed. My lawyer unhappy with my approach so delighted to be let go!
I have a conveyancing solicitor ready to go. I really don't see what i need a solicitor for. Obviously his might try to get in touch but I figured I could just ignore that or return the letter or something. I have emailed him asking for his conveyancing solicitor and giving the details of mine.
Feels quite nice to be clear and just resolute on what is needed.

Auntie Mabel is delighted you've managed to track down her old house, she has many happy memories of living there
.
Hopefully the ex will decide living in the house with you there is not as palatable as living in the house on his own with you paying half the bills!!!!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
