Thank you AJ. Back at you x
Lovely Christmas Eve at local Church. Service was held outside in pouring rain but still came away peaceful and happy. Had to spend the evening at house though to check horses were ok as local posh hotel letting off fireworks between 9 pm and 10 pm. Lets just say it was past 10 pm but I drove home to rental anyway just to wake up peacefully there.
Nice Christmas day evening with friends and very late night so tired. Just catching up quickly here as want to declare my alcohol free days on the thread for that. That has really helped. Enjoyed gift exchange with friends but painfully aware I overspent. Decided I need to diary shopping in November so I don't panic buy. And have accordingly made note in next years diary.

Started my move towards frugal January. Looked at that cupboard full of beans and made a big pot of black bean chilli and another of BBQ beans for the freezer. I think if I can bulk cook something each day during these quite few inbetweenie days then that will help. The freezer also needs looking at and meat turned into ready meals.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

@Watty1 sounds delicious! This diary is all yours now, all your voice. You are not defined by ex's behaviour, and I hope you're bursting with pride. If you're even interested, you'll soon see Nemesis taking a disconcerting interest in his affairs...Happy 2022 when your life will be on your terms. Love Humdinger xx3

Despite gloomy thoughts, fed the horses and got busy in the kitchen. One tub black bean stew made (should feed two so can share with VNM or eat over 2 days), two tubs of homemade baked beans (again each has 2 portions in but plan on eating over a couple of days with some small sausages from freezer) and a very large pot of beef and carrot stew cooling in kitchen which I will freeze in single portions and should be about 12 instant meals there.
Made a list of food in the freezer at the cottage which could be considered 'mine' and filed that in my planner along with suggestions on how to use so that I don't have to think when having a down day or a busy day.. Will weigh out stuff to make oat and cheese flapjacks tomorrow and tomorrow will also start on the huge stash of lentils.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
