You're wasting no time in convincing yourself that it's other than it is and can make realistic plans. VNM sounds like an interesting addition; nothing like a bit of romance to take your mind off things. I bet ex will swing between hurt and indignant when he hears; unless he already has? Frustrated I said he should just tell me what he wants, and he asked if the tables were turned would I be happy? To his surprise I said yes. So he suggested he had the house and I smiled and said you asked if I would be happy with the tables turned so if I have what you have in the bank, your pension, the other house and a lump sum I will be very happy.
Would you be happy with a house? And a debt? I asked. He burbled on irritatingly about his pension and his money being his and I simply said then the tables are not turned and the question you asked me is meaningless. And quickly followed up with and so when will i actually hear.
He faffed on about how much the house is actually worth. Dear friends it is the only house that has gone up £80,000 since the 8th September. If the trajectory continues I'll be worth millions very soon !!
On the ruthless front however I have had an idea. More to be revealed very soon when I hear back from a specialist solicitor to see if my idea has legs.

Oh and in other news the lovely import I found has still not got its registration number from DVLA and I'm tired of not having a car so i investigated hiring one for a month and realised it was expensive (cheapest I found was £550 although I did find a cheaper one at £350 with lots of clauses). Turning to Facebook ads I found a mini which i went to see. Really low mileage and seeming very little wrong with it and an MOT until March. The exhaust needs changing and a window does not work and it is a manual rather than an auto but nevertheless seemed a good buy. Purchased and VNM says exhaust can be fixed for £45 and the window is just a wiring problem and can easily be sorted too and after carefully looking at car suggested I might get £500 more for it when I sell it. So all in all a very good MSE find.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Well I am not very good at it. Patience is not my strong point. Yesterday I tackled him and just ended up with a string of ridiculous comments from him which included I should wait until the post arrived (???) I will hear in due course and he will ring his solicitor but it is all up to his solicitor . Pointed out i had been waiting over 4 weeks now for an answer and he calmly explained he could not dictate his solicitors workload and I would hear when it reached the top of the pile.Quote from Watty today 22nd.What an idiot, superior pr*t. We only get post on a Sunday over Christmas sticks tongue out in very childish but quite satisfying response. However, like others on here have commented karma happens, he would want to be very careful standing near piles of compost - mental image of male submerged! This is so frustrating and how dare he be irritated by news of VNM! Some folk have very short memories. I do hope you are managing to rise above it even if you have to go and kick a tyre or two. Hope you enjoy the mini - I've loved the few I have had . Take care of yourself Watty.2

@Watty1, the man's a buffoon. He really is engineering his own downfall; with help from karma, of course. Was his plan that you should spend the rest of your life atoning? Alone and making wistful noises as he strolled off into the sunset with all your money and some fool of a floozie who didn't see his behaviour to you as an awful warning?! Well, he's in for a tragic awakening. He's in for a dreadful shock, as he sees you happy, successful and adored by VNM and your friends. Can you imagine what his local reputation must be...love Humdinger x4

The new girlfriend is apparently working a minimum wage job and living in a rented house that is poorly maintained but he is helping fix up so I'm sure she is appropriately grateful for such a nice wealthy man. He has explained (I've heard him on the phone) that I am a dreadful uncaring harpy who treated him very very shabbily and he is delighted to have met someone with so much love to share.
Honestly I don't think I could make this rubbish up LOLMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

So it's OK for him to have moved on relationship wise, but not you?I'm sure the girlfriend's landlord is delighted about his efforts.
