This Time I'm Really Going To Do It

Another day. Ex refusing to engage with legal teams. Wont agree restrictions on land until I agree to pay full money over. I've said that is just another control issue and I want the legal agreement on land drawn up and unsurprisingly his lawyer is away and he refuses to deal with anyone until her return.
I am now seriously thinking about just walking away. Whatever happens I own 50% of two houses with the ex. I've wasted 3 years of my life. I have a nice rental to live in I love. So the first thing to do is find somewhere to locate the business. I'd like to keep the business phone number so that restricts me to (a) this area or (b) somewhere with really good fibre broadband. I originally thought about taking the business to my rental and using that but the broadband is copper based and slow apparently however as a short term measure I will speak to the landlord tonight about installing a phone line there.
I will also measure up how much office space I need and draft a post to go on NextDoor and Facebook pages looking for premises. The posts will of course be made by someone else rather than me so he does not know it is me. (I've figured out if I log out of here he cannot read my posts). The same friend will ask the local estate agents if they know anywhere. Moving the business is going to be key.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Those sound like really good plans, Watty.2023: the year I get to buy a car2

@Watty1 yes they sound excellent. The first steps feel the most unreal but you'll soon be in your stride. When is his lawyer back? Keep going, we're all full of admiration for you. Love Humdinger xx1

I'm sure there are lots of places offering business space given the change over to home working, fingers crossed you find the right spot.Mortgage Apr 18 £417,894 BTL Mar 18 £162,857

First ads gone out on Next Door today and ads on Facebook pages tomorrow. Being posted by a friend the ex does not know.
Stuff that is not mine but belongs to the farm relocated from rental unit.
Storage bags for clothes and bedding etc purchased. I can easily clear that in plain sight on basis of moving old clothes around which means I can pack up and move stuff from one room on the quiet.
Landlords at farm gave permission for a land line so that will be ordered shortly.
Next step is to arrange to have coffee with local livery yard owner and see if I can get the horses in there. I want that yard because it is walking distance from front door!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Spent Saturday on the sofa. Mostly in tears. Think my world caught up with me and wore me down and wiped me out.
Sunday not a lot better
Today Monday come to work to find the Access Database wont work and I need to find an Access qualified person to help sort it. I have thought of a fix but don't know how to do it. Posted on People Per Hour a job ad to try and find suitable person for Access and the only response so far has been from Felix in Kenya who will do it all for the suggested £500 budget and marry me as well. I don't know if this will improve matters or not?!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

As your husband he'd surely do it for free Watty?! I know it's hard right now but you're doing the best thing letting it all out. If you bottle it up you'll have far more tears later and feel worse in the meantime. Maybe a local Chamber of Commerce might help, if you don't get a better offer from PPH? Or your accountant or book keeper might suggest someone. Lots of love Humdinger xx1

Urk. Yes, Felix in Kenya sounds like quite a catch
Wish I could help on the Access thing, but not a chance - oh, and I've just checked the timestamp, hoping you had it sorted by now, but its recent
good luck with it.

Well I came on here to catch up and found a PM from someone that might help. So things are looking up.
The place I rent does not have a land line and the mobile service is dreadful there. Unable to find a mobile service that will covers the area well enough for work so today I've ordered a land line to be installed. Being installed in a couple of weeks.
Plan is to move the business there now as I can't find suitable business premises nearby. Crazily it is cheaper to install broadband and a phone even though I don't want broadband. How odd!
So the plan now for the next two weeks is to find everything that is mine or that I want and take that back out of the house. When I left the first time around I left a lot of stuff behind because I thought Mr W and I would amicably sort things through. Now that we are so far down the road I see that is not the case.
Looking on the bright side there will be a major declutter and I will only be taking personal items as apparently Judge (boo hiss) felt everything I own is jointly owned. So I will be taking that I came into the relationship with and my clothes. Oh and the very nice chest of drawers in the spare room as I need that to put the clothes in.
This evening after work I will make a start sorting clothes. I had been meaning to do that for the last few evenings but just not had the energy. The ex is away until next week so I have time Clothes first and now I've put it out here I will make a start.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Hope you get the Access issue sorted. I used to use an Access database 20 years ago and they weren't hugely popular then from memory - and it didn't interface (is that the correct term?) with either of the other 2 systems the bank ran that I had to use on a daily basis.. was always a bug for the team. It's quite niche, I believe - fingers crossed the PM person can sort it for you
