The dog trainer has been. And gone. And yes a miracle has occurred. I have been shown how to deal with puppy temper tantrums and a charming puppy is underneathMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Mortgage expires 31/1/17. Spoke to a broker on Friday and has come back today with a great deal, 2.15% interest with unlimited overpayments and a £199 fee. :j I know there are cheaper out there but they restrict the overpayments so very happy with that. 0.5% cheaper than current deal too :jMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Mr Laurel Hedges just bought 2 bottles of wine around as a thank you for Mr Watty who saved their daughter from dealing with a flood whilst she was house sitting for them at the weekend. He then asked Mr Watty to go round and explain what the problem was - so he did - but refrained from offering to help when Mr Laurel Hedges said he was going to fix it himself. Fortunately Mr Watty also refrained from laughing :A
The bottles will be really useful as I don't drink and Mr Watty doesn't drink in house out of respect for my not drinking. So bottles go in gift stash :j Especially useful at this time of year.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Coffee with a few pals this morning and then popped into nearby butchers who managed to upsell very significantly. Bought one leg of lamb at 30% of original price, 2 joints of pork at £10 each (large), a bag of their gorgeous sausages and what I went in there for. Mr Watty amazed at how much I had bought for so little. I usually ask if they have anything on "special" but today was a real fill the freezer for very little spend.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Blowing a gale here so decided not to go out with Most Handsome.
And, at last, Mr Watty's dad should be released from hospital tomorrow. I heard on the radio that 40% of all hospital beds are used up by people needing social services. An outstanding figure - especially when I think we've been trying to get him home since Monday but there have been delays because he needs a special mattress, and that had to be ordered and that takes 48 hours and then and then and then....Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I think I have depression caused by arrival of puppy. Sort of like postnatal depression. My goodness he is a handful. Wasn't really expecting that.
In other news Mr Watty's dad is finally being sent home today - and - I am going to look at a house for sale. I know we have just paid off this one - but - I have a plan dear reader, I have a plan. And this house might be able to deliver the independence needed to retire. Will know more after I've been thereMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I am very glad to be allergic to all things with fur, so can't ever have one in the house.
Happy house looking and plotting of future plans. So what if you have 'just paid off this one'? You now have the freedom to choose what you do. Enjoy every minute of it!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hope the house viewing goes well.
I remember being so so tired when our dog was a puppy. So tired I could have cried (and possibly did). We are planning on getting another in the coming year and I am really not looking forward to the early days.0 -

I understand this. I'm not sure I would do it again so hats off to youAlthough it may be easier with another dog in the house, I know for sure our last dog would have been an excellent 'nanny'
