Updated signature. Could not work out how to make crossings out worked which was a pity as I sadly rather enjoyed that last time I was working on my targets. Note to self need more of a life maybe?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I like your mse interpretation of kondoing, and I do that too!
The sig - can you just use the html, not the buttons? There's this [ strike ] without the spaces, then [ / strike] this without the spaces? Don't know if it will work tho2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I've got rid of unjoyful things where I don't need them (I had plenty of socks) or won't use them or just dislike them. I am using up a not-especially joyful body polish and matching lotion, though. Not because I have no others - I have plenty, and in far nicer smells - but OH bought it and really put effort into thinking about what I like. The fact that he got the scent totally wrong is neither here nor there - he put some effort into this (might not sound it, but he did) and I want to acknowledge that (I have told him not to buy that scent again, though!!
) I also use up shower gels which I'm not fussed on the smell - it's a shower gel, after all - I don't care that much!
I can't believe some of the consumables thrown away on fbook - nor the amount of new (often large) storage bought - not sure people have really got it lol
I also can't do strikes though - but I mainly use IE. If I really want to strike through something I login using Chrome and it works ok

Yes. Last lent I did a 40 bags in 40 days challenge and 40 bags of stuff left the house. It made a huge difference and I would have said I was fairly decluttered. But, having read the KonMarie book and got really inspired I'm working on keeping the stuff I love and releasing some clutter
Bit challenging as I've been reading on faceache about how one just gets rid of everything and replaces it with joy bringing items. No way am I doing that. But grouping things together has meant a lot is being released and for some items I'm just on a use up campaign - so the non joy bringing socks are being worn till they wear out for example. Its my MSE interpretation. I think it will take much of the year to get through the house but it is working well. We've now an empty chest of drawers and a huge wicker storage trunk was sold for £10 via the bay of e.
Love it, we have so much carp it's unreal......will google the book:D

Those threads are great Sue P. I admit to lurking on the last one
I think the 40 bags 40 days lent challenge I did last year really helped because now it is easier to address whether I really need or want or have use of or love an item.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I love your approach. And yes, acknowledging he tried is important. I have ear-rings DP bought I don't like that much but wear for the same reason
And the faceache thread stuns me at times. How much money is being wasted :rotfl:Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

It's a change in the way you look at things - not 'what can I throw away?' but 'what do I really want to keep?' Helps with the 'just-in-case'/ 'but-I-spent-a-lot-of-money-on-it'/ 'it-was-a-gift' dilemmas
