Evening all been a crazy busy week here, all back to school on Monday and little Rhys started P1. It didn't worry him in the slightest and when the bell rang he said ' I think it's time you left'. :rotfl:He's now in bed every night at 7.30 and no fighting about it, big kids even going to bed early.
I thought I would have a very quiet week but was needed to do the charity stuff, seems next week will be busy too. So I may be in and out for awhile. In middle of planning a fancy ladies night (i'll have to wear a dress), doing a skydive and organising a cycle run for next year.
I'm hoping we'll only meet once a week (to organise stuff)and the rest can be done from home. At least then when i'm waiting on phone calls I can get on with a bit of flying.
Ozzy has now been moved the the chicken cope, he's eating doors and not using puppy mats at all. Feel bad putting him out but I know he'll be warm in his little house. We did do the same with Bo and he's great now in the house, he stays in every night.
Right I hope everyone good and hugs, spoons were needed. Better get the rest of the kids to bed.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
I'm giving in for the night soon. Very tired again, must be the 6am get ups
Weekend plan:
Ironing - HH done, now I'm going to take a break
Repair DD's blazer pocket (its just the stitching hasn't caught properly when it was made so no big deal)
Stitch the belt loops on her other pants
DD's timetable
Calender/planner synchronizing! :rotfl:
Tomorrow is a sewing, laundry and paperwork day once the Mr A delivery has beenThe delivery pass I ordered has now paid for itself and then some :money::j
:wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
DH has given the lounge ceiling its second coat of paint today and finished the base coat on the walls
It looks lovely and light in there, with all the white, but once we have seen the colour of the new fireplace we will chose a suitable shade of cream for the top coat and make it less stark.
I went shopping for paint this morning and spent most of the afternoon doing WMx4 and bakingThis evening I managed to time our meal so that we could watch Strictly and fell asleep in the middle of it
We have since moved all the heavy furniture and umpteen boxes of new light fittings out of the DR into the lounge, leaving the DR clear for the plasterer tomorrow. He's also going to finish off the back porch (which I cleared earlier) and that will be all for a while
We should hear next week or the week after whether we've got permission to extend the dormer at the front. My dream of getting everything done by mid-December is not impossible!
Bossy, I'm glad Little Moo had a lovely party.
Good to hear that you're feeling a bit better, nicki.
I'm off to make up our bed and just fall into it...0 -
Evening all! Hope everyone is ok and having a good weekend.
I have taken advantage of the sun today and done the washing as forecast is for rain for most of tomorrow. Fell asleep on the sofa watching the GP qualifyingStill feel shattered though!
Shopping tomorrow first thing, then going to collect some seaweed from the beach for one of the other teachers at school! Then will pop to see Dad before ploughing through a pile of school work!
What fun!bonnie_bumpkins wrote: »Are you learning to play & have you taken any grades? I would love a piano... when I have the money... and a detached house... I will play again!

I agree - don't know how they justify the price. But ....... there seems to be a few of us who want to go away so maybe we ought to consider flylady hols? .............."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Now there's a thought... :T We can discuss in Birmingham!
I hope everyone is having a good weekend; huggles to those in need or want xx
I was up early and consequently had an unscheduled [STRIKE]old lady snooze[/STRIKE] power nap just before lunchDesigned new flyers this afternoon and printed all of 2 copies before the printer ran out of ink.... now where did I put the replacement cartridges??
piggers the photos of the 3 girlies were beautiful. Dot's eyes are amazing! I too love Delilah smiling in her sleep. Glad Squeak loves nursery.
bossy you could think about making cakes as a little business, you have a great talent. Me, I can just about stick two lumpy sunken sponges together and hide under whipped cream and chocolate strands...
mumto5 I hope your visit to MiL went well x
kerri your LR looks lovely, especially the floor *envious*
I'm sure one flylady is due to give birth very soon.... sorry I can't remember your name... I hope all goes smoothly for you.
AF has arrived really early and I'm not pleased to see her. She keeps turning up earlier & earlier, is this normal for 46? I am also often very hot... oh dear
Can't decide whether to challenge myself to exercise more - couch to 5K sounds great but do you have to listen to instructions as this is no good for me with my hearing aids unless I wear big headphones then I'll look like a female Alan Partridge huffing & puffing round the park.

Morning <yawn> have come into spare room to get away from kids but DD has followed me... Bit of an unsettled night here.
Bonnie I do listen to the instructions but you could use some other sort of timer, if you were very organised.
If anyone wants to post or pm their challenge update today, I can add to the new thread later.
<yawn> I have a bit of pottering / ironing to do today. I may get the sewing machine out and see if I can make a spare pad for the steam mop too :T oh and the button on DS school shorts is really stiff so might see if I can just replace with some elastic so he can pull them up / down himself
And my button fell off my jeans pocket again...Bossymoo
