I agree pigpen. The police will be able to find out who his worker is and get him some help, and maybe it will give him a kick up the backside too. My neighbours son is involved in the weed game too, consequences are further reaching than you'd think.

Well, summer is definitely coming to a close: was chilly this morning when hanging the washing out. The thermal door and kitchen curtains have gone up, DS asked for a sweater on, DD refused to come out at all, and the apples on the tree have popped off with just one small twist. That means I can start to cut the tree right back :T its much annoying!

But it's bright out (for now) and no breeze, so I've pegged the washing well spaced out - hopefully it will dry, we are forecast rain from about 4ish.

DS is now nattering me for the cbeebies app - "is it loaded yet mum?" So I'll go check...

Oh dear. Sorry about this, I'm going to have to say this. Please don't report him Piggers. If he's 18 he'll be stuck with a criminal record for the rest of his life. There must be some way to find out who is responsible for his welfare and let them know that it is now common knowledge he is committing these crimes so that they can try to work it out with him before it's too late and the police do get involved.
    Better is good enough.

Honeybear - I've given him chicken, albeit one of my KFC fillets from last night and he's a bit more solid. I changed their food on Thursday, when it started, and forgot that the new biscuits have salmon oil in. His tummy has never handled fish well so I think it's the biscuits. I've picked the bowl up and feeding 2nd cat by herself, he's got plain chicken down now so I'm watching him. Definitely seems a lot better in himself now and isn't dehydrated. I've had no end of trouble with this cat and food.

Pigpen, you can always call crime stoppers anonymously. It sounds like someone needs to give him a break somewhere though, do you have him round for tea/dinner? Sometimes showing kindness to someone can change them. Have you talked to him about getting a good job/further training?

Just as an aside, my OH used to sell weed when he was younger (way before I met him or we wouldnt be together). It took him until he was 32 to suddenly decide to make something of himself and go to uni. He now has a good job, baby on the way and his head screwed on. So there is hope that your dd's bf could turn it around pigpen

He has spent much of the last 2 months here .. I've fed him, done his washing, told him off when necessary etc.. He doesn't work, doesn't seem to be looking for work and doesn't seem motivated to move into education.. I thought DD2 going to college might spur him to do the same.. alas no.

He really needs some decent parents at the moment.. if he was a friend of the boys I'd intervene but it is so different when they are in a relationship with one of them. I know he is in touch with his parents and is very fond of his little sister who sounds about 4.

I shall do some investigating.. ;)

bonnie.. you could go have bloods done to check if you are starting the big M word..it is worth checking so you know it isn't anything else.

you can also buy urine sticks online to check if the big M is approaching....immediate result no faffing about
The cold never bothered me anyway
  • You can get a urine test in Boots - on-line may be cheaper though!
I had the Boots one - just confirmed everything I suspected!
