    Morning all

I've got a sore throat and feeling a bit grim so pottering today and some paperwork I think. Some rooms are now quite straight, but still work to be done. Plan is to sit on DS3's bed whilst he sots all the stuff down from the loft.

Bonnie, I'm the same age as you and have the same problem. This month though she is here at the right time but boy do I know she is here. I've got lots of other things which I think are the Big M (burning mouth, silent reflux, dry skin etc) but I'm making an appointment today to request some bloods and just to make sure I'm not blaming everything on my age.

Bossy I managed 4/5 days with some exercise last week, aiming for 5/5 of this week, bus permitting.

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone, OH is stuck in Surrey somewhere his own fault for going to a mansion party with no way of getting home. I on the other hand am having a rested morning :) going to watch oz the great and powerful, then hang washing, bake a cake and do some batch cooking for this weeks dinners. I think that'll probably do me, but if I have any spare time/energy I'll sort another box in the DR towards my personal challenge.
Hope you all enjoy your Sunday x

Edit: have just discovered the poorly cat has had the runs on one of the painter cloths we out down, so WM x2 in and first load in TD as I'm feeling lazy

    Morning all :D

Up at 6am again this morning. Was a bit chilly so I'll be digging out my quilt today to add to the bed ready for the single figure temperatures forecast for overnight.

Todays plan looks something like this:
    Ironing
Repair DD's blazer pocket (its just the stitching hasn't caught properly when it was made so no big deal)
Stitch the belt loops on her other pants
    DD's timetable
Calender/planner synchronizing! Sorted sending Ex DD's school holiday dates
    Change beds
    Shopping away
    Baths
Laundry x 5 (bedding, dark, lights, towels, cloths)
Next weeks to-do list / diary
    HHProject

Going to try and get DD's timetable sorted now. I won't be able to print it until Mr A delivery gets here (11am-1pm) but I can have it ready to go ;)

    Off for a HHC

Squeak in whinge mode today.. oh the glee.

If you found out your daughters boyfriend was stealing bikes to sell to buy weed what would you do about it?

I think the police should be told but most other people seem to think I should not say anything. Bear in mind his dad works in the police and his parents kicked him out at 14/15 and he hasn't grown up beyond that age, is currently in a hostel at 18 and nobody seems to give a toss about him.. but that doesn't excuse illegal activity as far as I am concerned. If I knew who his social worker/hostel warder/whatever he has as a contact was I'd call them.. but I don't.

Body of Spams jumper finished... 3 inches longer than the pattern says but it looks a nice size now... I aim to get the sleeves done today.

    WM on
DW loaded and the few dirty things put in
TD airing off yesterdays laundry.. I need to wipe the table and start folding soon.. I'll start a sleeve first ;)

Kerri_dfw Is it possible that the cat drank the water with chemical in it because it was feeling poorly, rather than the chemical making it poorly? If it were my cat I think I'd be ringing the vet.

Hopeless total lack of progress on the Challenge front, but the intentions are good.

Bonnie: Sounds like what I went through in the early days of the M. A blood test would give you the difinitive answer.

M arrives on Wednesday, which gives me another two days to spring clean the room he's going in to. I'm doing it Dot-to-Dot and I've already done the worst bits, the door and frame, the radiator and the window. OH and I spent an hour yesterday doing some DIY in there, getting ratty with each other because we both hate it so much.
    Better is good enough.
  • Pigpen It'll tell the police TBH - if he feels worthless already then the weed is only going to magnify that (maybe not now but with continued use) and could lead him down a much murkier path.

No crochet yesterday but I baked a carrot cake, a jam cake and made some soup.

Then I cleaned the kitchen and washed up.

Off to drop some stuff to CS and the dump

    Have a great day all

Deco.. That is what I was also thinking, I have thought a few things about it.. I don't want him to be in more trouble but I think stopping him now before he gets on the very slippery slope and hopefully he would get further support would benefit him.. plus of course I need to protect my daughter. I don't want to say he is no longer welcome at my house, he knows I won't have smoking here or bad language in front of the younger children.. if I can try not to use it, so can he! He is actually really good with the children, even the boys!! and he makes tea/coffee and plays with the littlies and cleans and tidies without being asked and is actually not a bad kid.. but I can't ignore this when my daughter might end up in bother too.

  • Pigpen it maybe the 'thing' that gets him to re-evaluate his life and see what's important. From what you've said he sounds a nice lad but he may not be for much longer if he continues to take the drugs.
