Just put the second load out on the washing line, cats didn't want to come back in this time and no1 ran away when I tried to shoo him in. Just spoken to my sister who is planning on coming up for Boxing Day with my parents & her two littlies...I'll be due 6 days later so think I need to discuss with OH and my parents.

Finishing watching The Midwives, then off downstairs to sort LR and tape the skirting boards before making a cake :D

Skinty, would you like to come and join me in some slash and burn here? I decapitated another laurel bush yesterday - I can even see the back wall behind it now :rotfl:

No more burning here, only slashing for fear my moaney NDN will report me to council for having more than 3 bonfires a year (although council website says 3 a week!), fed up of big black circles in my grass and the resultant black soot that makes it way in the house

  • been flying out and about....

two loads of garden gibble taken to recycling centre to be ground up and rotted down

EX is getting Ds from nursery to have him for the afternoon, DD4 has had Daisy and is now in her cage so I can go back out in the garden......DD1 brought the cage in from the log cabin as DD4 is so quick and has a penchant for electrical cables so rather than pull everything on top of herself she is contained!

Right time to get out back in the garden before we get the promised torrential rain at the weekend

I can actually tick something off the official list this week!:T We had a sort through the kitchen bookshelf a couple of weeks ago, and found two books I'd never used and never likely to which have been CS'd. One was all really faffy recipes, nearly all involving meat or fish so I'd have to adapt them anyway, and the other was so huge that I couldn't lift it off the shelf myself, and again the recipes all seemed to be inordinate amounts of faff. I seem to recall both these were "free gifts" at some time or another - I see why now; practically no-one would have bought them!:D

WiiFit done, lunch eaten, some general tidying done, I am going to get the moisturiser out now.:o I got a bit distracted tidying in the spare room - does anyone else actually use tidying as a displacement activity?:D

Have lived up to my notoriety and burnt my spaghetti hoops on toast. TBF I didn't realise OH had turned the blinking toaster up, so whilst getting the towels in off the line had to quickly run as smoke billowed out the patio doors and the fire alarm beeped...whoops! I now smell of smoke so shall have to shower grrr. Good job the towels are already dry :D

Off to move things out of the living room before I can tape the skirting boards :)
