Another one who wasn't planned, in fact my mum told me she wanted a boy and only 2 weeks before did she think it might be ok if I was a girl. Also as I was a girl she didn't want me to be an only child so had my brother. This from someone who said she didn't want children. Don't get me wrong, I am loved and love her in return and she is a good mum but we don't have much in common, she thinks I'm dull and I'm not the daughter she hoped I'd be.

My brother is the favourite, although she wouldn't admit it.

Ooh, that rings a bell and I'm an only child ;) A son would have been the favourite.

Goodnight all: since the builders will be drilling from 8am, I'd like to get a headstart on going to sleep.

  • After my brother died, my mum told me she had nothing left worth living for ............!!

Sounds like lots of us in the same boat - we do pretty well considering, don't we? :T

LW - I'm not allowed to wear jewellery, nail varnish, etc. to work and tend to forget to wear it at weekends, but your challenge has inspired me to try and remember on Sats and Suns!

I'd add my flying if I'd actually done any :o

Not much off listy today, but I have been very busy flying out and about

I have made a start on getting back patio straight again and front garden too....decided to do this before mopping kitchen floor

last weeks grass clippings all 8 bags worth, taken to dump, with overflowing cardboard box, overflowing plastics and tins, an icecream tub half full of spent batteries, a box of spent aerosols, a box of stones rescued from the "lawn" :rotfl: before mechanical sheep ate them

that was journey no1 to the dump

I weeded front garden again, chainsaw style
    journey no 2

washing baskets I have found make very handy weeding containers for prickly stuff, saves ripping garden waste bags to shreds, and then you can shake the whole lot in at the tip.

3 washing baskets of prickles and 4 recycling boxes of general weeds

journey no 3, same as journey no 2, just got there 5 mins before closing

car is loaded up ready for the morning, same as journey 2 and 3, plus I have 6 garden waste bags of non prickly waiting for some space in the car for 2nd journey tomorrow.

phoned library, renewed DS's books, spoke to Drs re issue on my scrip, nursery run to and fro for DS, DD3 drive by to collect school badge. Divert to shop to replace rake that broke 5 mins in to job

WM x 4, 3 loads put away, one load currently draped around inside:o

DD1 and DD3 have helped with DD4 between them to let me get on, although DS has been helping collect all the iris seed pods for future use.

New phone should be arriving in the morning!

Will see if I can cross mopping off at some point tomorow.

    hugs, sticks and spoons xxx
The cold never bothered me anyway

    Morning all

    Hugs all round.

Just having a cuppa then I'll empty DW and put WM on, mogs staking out my every move in triangulation.

    Plan for today:
    Send 4 emails
    Another HH on finance paperwork
    Walk with friend
Take DS2 to look for a new suit
    Dust Hallway
    Clean bathroom
    Clean shower room
Another 1 or 2 loads of washing
    Cut back hedge
    Pick beans
    Go blackberrying
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair

Ok, so in my defence I am just waking up. Read 'work tops' as tops you wear to work and thought 'granite?'. Never mind.

Think something has bitten me on my neck and it's not DH. Ouch.

Will be off list this morning before the paid stuff as I need to tidy the LR.

Challenge has been done for last two days.

Hope everyone has a good day esp Piggers. Aren't the children back at school today?
Spend less now, work less later.
