Floor sorted, just a hotspot to go. Found a BC cookie packet mix in the cupboard so made those quickly and they baked whilst I washed up.
Off to chop up some veg to make a SC soup, then bring in the bedding from the line.

I'm in (better late than never) and will pm Bossy with my challenge to be added.

I haven't been flying from the official list yet this week. Paid stuff has been manic, but I have done the dailies, hoovered through (although with 3 dogs it needs doing again), and I cut the back grass today.

Hope everyone is ok, hugs where needed.

Brought the bedding in, put the soup on (sooo easy, although trying to dice in my Magim1x on a high stool so I can get my weight behind the tool was precarious whilst pregnant). Going to stick dr4gons den on finally (wanted to watch since yesterday morning) and make the bed :D

  • Evening everyone

Up at 6.30am to sort some washing, get ready for work and make sure DS2 was ready for school. 4 hrs paid work, bit of shopping done, dog walked, bedroom decluttered and dusted and hoovered. Curry made and eaten. Last job is to bring the washing in that is out on the line - I really should get this in and fold/iron it but I am flagging now.

Right come on, if I sort that washing now I can have the rest of the evening to myself ...

I know what you mean about not liking yourself. At the moment I'm slowly getting over the self loathing from June and trying to tell myself I do deserve treats, but it is hard work. Particularly if I am struggling to do the things I feel I 'ought' to be doing.

However, DH noticed perfume and jewellery this morning and commented which made me feel like it was worth the effort :T
I think the phrase is 'you have to fake it to make it':D
(((HUGS))) FBO. That's great that your DH noticed.:T Come on, we'll struggle together, and perhaps it won't feel so much like "ought" as "will because we want to".;)

My self-loathing stems from years and years and years back - my mother told me straight out that I was an unwanted baby.:( Not the best thing to say to a child who already has self-esteem issues. I always blamed myself for the fact that my parents despised each other but wouldn't do the sensible thing and split up.:(

However - I put on some black kohl pencil, eye-shadow to match my skirt (turquoise), and my silver "I :heart2: Wolves" necklace before we went out.:j

Mr LW now has sufficient decent socks and underpants for the holiday, so he's already started packing his case.:T He's also had a haircut - I sat in the car and did Sudoku while he was in the barber's.:D

I need to wash some underwear before I can pack mine; I have sufficient, it's just most of it is in the wash-bin at present. I need to put a hanky wash on tonight (to come on at sparrowfart tomorrow) so I might get my stuff washed straight after that, while we're still on cheaper leccy.:o

I have, however, sorted out our meds for the time we're away, to make sure I don't need to buy any more OTC stuff before we go.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Dusty how awful - that poor child and family - how do you possibly cope? A friend of a friends son has neuroblastoma stage 4 - it's just too awful to even consider, he's only 7 and has had more ops and radio and chemo this year than anyone ought to have in five lifetimes.

Kiddies really need to go get pjs on. But they are fed and milked, DS seems happy with school, he got a smiley face card for helping tidy up (they operate a reward scheme there - so many smilies and they get something else, and so on. They are easy to earn in reception but less easy as they progress through the school.

DD cake almost finished, I'd run out of butter so couldn't finish the icing on top (peppa is having a piped frill round the bottom of her dress so you can't see where she's attached to the cake!) I'll add a pic later - this is the small cake - we need a big one for Saturday!

Right, beasties are off to bed!

ETA lamewolf and furrybeastoz - well done, pleased to see you are off on the right foot / paw ;)

It's our 20th anniversary today, so absolutely no flying happening here. Took the Cawsand Ferry over to Cornwall (for'n parts, passport required), had lunch in a cracking pub garden, followed by a three and a half mile walk along the south west coastal path, blackberrying all the way. (OH got very excited about having a stick to pull out-of-reach bunches down to pick. Men, they get so thrilled about using tools. ;) ) Got the Cremyll ferry back to Devon - home turf.

The blackberries are quite a long way behind and there are very few sloes around after last year's bumper crop (when everyone else had none.) It was very hot and I'm glad I made the decision not to take Mrs Dog today because it would have been much too much for her. Out to dinner tonight, good oh. I might even put some bling on, so thanks for that Lamewolf. I just never, ever remember to even think about it.

I'm so sorry about your friends Dusty. It's very hard watching people go through hell and feeling helpless. Supportive wishes and thoughts being sent your way, and to you, Jools, coping with the loss of you DH.
    Better is good enough.
