I've managed loads again today, didn't manage the timesheets (again!) but I did manage expenses. Finally managed to sort through a single box in the dining room and I now know where my yarn is kept, hurray! Also managed to find my k1ndle and the light for it, so now OH won't wake me up at stupid o'clock when he decides it's time to put the light on.

Yesterdays chili for dinner and it was scrummy, although mistook haricot beans for chickpeas, so they weren't quite cooked as they needed longer soaking whoops. Soup is in the SC and shall be finished around 11pm for me to turn the SC off for the night.

Quite enjoying this flying malarky :) and OH is most happy.

This one is quite small, I think it will only serve 6 (or 8 if we share the turrets lol) but we need a big one for her party, so I'm going to do the same again, but with a bigger square cake underneath, and use proper Swiss rolls for the towers. We will probably have leftovers heheh. I'm hoping I can "transplant" this peppa onto the new cake without disturbing her too much tomorrow, then add fresh candles.

I'm rather proud of myself today despite the poor attempt at running this morning :D

Haven't done the list today as went to my neighbours for coffee this morning and had a ward meeting this afternoon.
DD had a fab day, she has PE first thing tomorrow . We sent her to school without a padlock for her locker (silly Mum) so she carried around 2 bags all day :o.
Must remember to get mackerel out of freezer for tomorrows tea.
Valli, you have the same work tops as me. I also had some of those M&S jars with the union jack lids. I loved them. And Finally :o; I can't believe it's not butter is on offer for the 500g packs in Mr T BOGOF. Cheaper than the 1kg tub.
Am going to go at the list with gusto tomorrow as I'll have an empty house. Are we onto the bathroom yet? Mine's minging!
Dusty; sorry to hear the dreadful news. Life is harsh at times.

I spoke to my step dad (unless my Mother has actually divorced him- not sure) earlier as it's his 80th birthday. He sounds like a lonely old man now bless him. He was expressing regret at our childhood and that he didn't do more. I felt I had to point out to him that she's always done EXACTLY what she wanted to do. He's asked to keep in touch which I think is very sweet. He doesn't owe me anything- just got caught in the fall out that is my Mothers horrible messy life.

Anyway; DS back to school tomorrow. He's not happy this evening cause he's hungry and I won't let him eat any more as he left his tea. I'm so mean :D.

Bossy- that cake is AWESOME! We all used to get a hedgehog birthday cake (Me, sister and cousin) when we were little and living with my aunty. I was explaining it to DS last year before his birthday and asked if he wanted me to make him one. Strangely, he declined when I said I could make it a punk hedgehog by sticking twiglets in it. It wasn't until he explained why it would be disgusting that I realised I meant Matchmakers :o:D

LW.. my sister was also an unwanted baby and is regularly told so.. I was a 'replacement' baby for my sister who died (51 weeks between her birth and mine) and we haven't been allowed to forget it either. It isn't good for your self esteem at all :( We want you and think you are a beautiful Mrs Wolf xx

Another one who wasn't planned, in fact my mum told me she wanted a boy and only 2 weeks before did she think it might be ok if I was a girl. Also as I was a girl she didn't want me to be an only child so had my brother. This from someone who said she didn't want children. Don't get me wrong, I am loved and love her in return and she is a good mum but we don't have much in common, she thinks I'm dull and I'm not the daughter she hoped I'd be.

My brother is the favourite, although she wouldn't admit it.
