What are you going to do?
I really don't get why they won't let people pay by standing order. Its frustrating.
I'm definitely not giving them my card number.
I don't know whether to contact them or not. My address has changed but not my email or phone number. They could be writing to me at my old address.
Aaagh
Received these two emails from them, first they say it is a repayment plan, then tell me paying by cheque does not stop collection, and does not secure a valid payment arrangement.
*Thank you for contacting QuickQuid. Please be advised that we have not received a request to cancell the continuous payment.
The acceptable payment methods used by Quick Quid are: Bank Account, Debit Card, Bankers Cheque or Cashiers Cheque. Unfortunately, we do not accept PayPal, standing orders, giro slips, credit cards or provide an account number that you can make cash payments into.

Got this letter from Speedloan today, look at post 31 on this thread, and you will see they did not accept my offer.
If I said I can't afford to pay, I am unlikely to turn around and say now I can afford to pay.
Balance outstanding £753.39
Arrears £112
We are disappointed that you have not yet contacted us with regards to your failed Direct debit payment.
Can you please call us as a matter of urgency on 0844 4480 527 to bring your account up to date using your debit card. We also need you to re-confirm your bank account details and make sure your Direct debit is set up correctly. Calling us today will mean that we do not have to take any further action against you. If you do not contact us we may be forced to issue you with a Default Notice, pass your account onto a third party Debt Collection Company and charge you default interest which may increase your balance.
We look forward to receiving your call within 3 working days of the date of this letter
Yours sincerely
Andrew Shuttlewood

You have to remember your dealing with idiots here, that is point number 1.
2......is there any reason with all this that you couldn't go through stepchange or payplan?
They pay the payday loans directly and your having to negotiate with computers and dreary bored collection"agents" reading from a script.I'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013

Ask them for there bank details so you can pay via online banking, they cannot refuse to give them to you, paying that way gives you piece of mind as they do not see any of your payment details.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. So far, the only PDL, that has accepted what I am offering, and payment method, is PaydayUK, and I can either pay them by standing order, or pay cash over the counter at their bank.
The rest are unreasonable.
Pounds to pocket accept my offer but do not accept standing orders, giro slips or provide their bank account number.
Quick quid accept my offer are saying that I can pay by cheque, but this does not cease collection activities, or secure any valid payment arrangements
Mr Lender have come up with their own repayment plan, ignoring what I can afford, asking me to pay £118 each month, when I said I could only afford £16.
Speedloan did not accept my offer, and are asking for debit card details, or to set up a direct debit, expecting me to pay the same amount I paid before I defaulted,
You can't get blood from a stone, can you?0 -
Not hugely relevant to the thread, but just a little piece on Standing Orders. These payments are still sent via BACS transfer and therefore won't be received same day like Direct Debits would be. The other option as previously mentioned would be requesting their banks sort code and account number and making a transfer as these are received the same day.0

PaydayUK had said that I need to make my payment 10 days before the date they have given me.
Does it take ten days for a standing order to be received????
Pounds to Pocket, and Quickquid have made it clear they don't give out their bank details.0
