    Received from Speedloan today

Thank you for your letter requesting that we accept a lower payment towards your account.

I understand that you may have fallen into financial difficulty but I am not able to accept an offer such as this on a long term arrangement.

If you are unable to make your contractual payment your account may be passed to a collections agency for recovery, more interest may be added to your account as your balance will not be reducing and a Default Notice may be added to your credit file.

Please contact us so that we can try to help you keep to the terms and conditions of our agreement and stop any of the above.

I will hold your account for 5 days whilst we await your response, if you have any further questions please call us on 0844 4480527.

    Yours sincerely

    Customer Services Manager

If you've offered to pay all you can afford, that's their choice!

Just reply saying that they can pass it onto whoever they like, but you've offered to pay all you can afford so it won't make any difference. And reiterate that you won't be ringing them.

Yes they called me yesterday and today, asking me to call them back urgently. I had emailed them when I defaulted telling them what I could afford, but they did not respond to the email.

Had a text from Pounds to Pocket last week asking me to call them. This was after they sent me the email saying they don't accept standing orders or giro slips.

Oh god I don't know what to do. The last I heard from them was July. Should I try and contact them again or just let it go??

My fear is that they will slap a CCJ on me. But then I have evidence that I was willing to pay so could they. What is the procedure for CCJ - do you get the opportunity to defend yourself first? Set up an arrangement with them etc?

I don't know the procedure for CCJ. Maybe someone can come on and advise. Sometimes I think you just get something in the post to fill in. Hopefully someone else who has had PDL's with them can advise.

I just got this from them this morning, ignoring my letter saying I would only pay by standing order.

Thank you for contacting us to inquire about how to pay off your balance. The payment plan we can offer is detailed below.

Remaining balance for future payments in payment plan (£) £137.02
Amount (£) of the first payment £27.42
Amount (£) for each of the remaining 4 payment(s) £27.40 via debit card ending XX.

Starting 25/09/2013, please be advised we are unable to skip months in payments.

Payments will become due at the same frequency as your paydays if nothing else is stated in this communication.

To update a Debit Card please provide the Card type, Card long number, 3-digit Security Code, Card Expiry Date and the Address Linked to the card.

To confirm your agreement to this payment plan, please reply to this email stating that the terms are favorable. You must include the original email with the terms to which you are agreeing in your response. Once we have heard back from you, we will set up the agreed upon debits to come out of your bank account or be charged to your debit card.

Collection procedures will continue until an acceptable payment arrangement is made.
