Don't really wish to add to the furore, but a cursory search will reveal that the OP has had similar problems for something like three years, but doesn't really appear to follow through nor give ample feedback.0
-
I deal with a lot of customers who would rather download a *free* fix-all bit of software off the web than do some basic investigation.
Net result is a killed AV and a virus and malware ridden PC.
"I downloaded this security software and it found 2,941 viruses. They only wanted £12.49 for a years licence". Hmmmm.
Unfortunately not all users are able to drag a tower PC out from under a computer desk and, whilst they are happy to click a shortcut on the desktop have no knowledge of, or interest in knowing, what it does.
That makes dealing with them very difficult.
If their PC is "broken" and they can't get on to the internet to download malwarebytes (or anything else) and don't know how, or have the facilities to, transfer programs then it is infuriating to the helper.
From her history it appears that the OP needs to find a local engineer or enthusiast who can pop round and do the necessary as remote repair appears to fail at the keyboard.0 -
I've followed this thread with interest, and was nearly going to relpy at the start with the following:
1. Uninstall "PC Cleaner Pro"
2. Do a system restore from before you installed it
3. Think twice before installing any software that you see as a pop up or advert. Google the program to see what others say about it, or google "uninstall PC cleaner pro" to see why you really don't want it in the first place.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

I'm sure that they wrote that all the Restore points had gone. Can't be bothered to check now as they are on 'ignore'.
Anyway, the OP clearly had problems before they ran the program in the first place. So that would only restore the old problem.0 -
Looks like the OP has deleted pretty much all of his/her posts in this thread - certainly the more-recent ones.0

Probably, Admin had a hand in that.0

Yes, I agree, but at least we'd have got rid of one of the issues
Next would be to find out why it's slow, which is where the OP missed a trick. They tried to fix a problem without know what the problem was!
The original slowness could have been down to bloatware, too many anti-virus or "protection" things running, etc, etc, or it could just be that the machine was old, didn't get switched off properly much, and just needed a wipe & reinstall.
We'll never know!1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?

I cannot believe you are STILL banging on about this...even if I am on your "ignore" list !! Ha ha ha ha
No issues anymore...as I have bought a new super dooper machine.
Customer service was GREAT...at the shop where I purchased....unlike some other places !!When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0 -

In that case I hope you
a) donate your old one to a good cause

b) take advice given on previous threads - take a backup so that you can restore in event of future problems..0
