It is at the back of the tower and is not accessible.

When you find the time and energy to retrieve it, we'll find the time and energy to help you. ;)
We need it to give you the best advice.

It seems that you have had problems in the past, but haven't really attended to them. I guess that PC Cleaner Pro was your remedy.

Do you have access to another machine with a CD burner?

Destructive Recovery instructions are here. But don't attempt them until you have retrieve you important data, as you will lose it all.

Well....many thanks for the sarcastic reply :rotfl:
It isn't a case of finding the time...nor the energy !!
I am disabled you see, so please do not jump to the conclusion that everyone is fit and well
If I were able to pull the bloody thing out....don't you think that I would ?????
When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!

Don't make a drama. :j I didn't jump to any conclusion. What I have noticed is that you haven't bothered to answer my question in all the excitement. :D

Should I guess that you won't be able to access any USB slots?

So we should look at an optical disc(CD) solution?

    forget firefox

internet explorer, tools, internet options, advanced, reset

post a hijackthis log - instructions in speedup sticky above

if you are using a third party firewall, disable or uninstall it.

if you'd done a macrium backup, you'd be able to fix this easily
