Jml doktor power oven cleaner..oven exploded help!

The point being that there is no evidence connecting the two events - very similar to the OP's situation. Circumstantial maybe, but there is nothing positive to link the two events. The point is that there is no correlation between cleaning the oven door yesterday and the oven door exploding today. The OP needs to prove the door exploded because of the cleaning.
OP does not need to prove conclusively a link between the two events. They only need to show the link on the balance of probabilities that the glass breaking was caused by the oven cleaner. This will be easier if the company admits the cleaner is not intended for use on glass, but has omitted this important information on their packaging.0 -

I have emailed them.. I had this reply.. All I want is a answer from them as to whether the stuff would cause this to happen.... Here is my reply....
Dear Sir or Madam
Thank you for your email. Obviously I am alarmed to read about what happened to your oven. This must have been a frightening experience and thank goodness nobody was hurt. We do hope that everyone in your house is ok as a result.
I am not aware of any incident of this nature ever happening as a result of using our Doktor Power Oven Cleaner product and we have sold many hundreds of thousands of packs. We will of course immediately investigate and I will ask my colleague Lucy Quartermaine to contact you to take this forward.
Thank you again for bringing this matter to my personal attention.

TBH up to now there is no indication that the product caused it, only coincidence.
There is a better balance of probability that the OP somehow damaged/weakened the glass when it was taken out and replaced. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

It says quite clearly on the packaging it is for steel or enamel and if unsure to contact them. They cannot list what it should not go on or you would be there forever. Instructions are very clear in my eyes and I am a regular user of it and dont use it anywhere near the seals or glass0 -

^^Exactly what I was about to write.
On the balance of probability taking the oven door glass, (that doesn't have a protective surround) into the garden, leaning it against something rigid, with the bare edge on the ground, while hosing it down, is more likely to be the cause.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
