I can see what you're suggesting but a more coherent argument or even some evidence would be useful.

Where do you get this 'bags and racks' stuff?

If it's on the images provided, pleas show where.

If you have some other knowledge, please provide a link.

The point being that there is no evidence connecting the two events - very similar to the OP's situation. Circumstantial maybe, but there is nothing positive to link the two events.

Yes, I think everyone gets that.

It's a point that has been made several time before.

I meant, what further point was he making - other than trying to make himself look big by needlessly and sarcastically reiterating something that had already been said more than once.

It's all here in the thread.
Is this the 'so simple even a man can do it' stuff where you put it in a bag and shake it and it all magically comes off?

Ate you supposed to use it on the actual oven rather than the removable trays?
You are meant to use it on the trays but I had some left and it had done such a good job with the trays I used few drips that was in bottle on the door as it was brown.. I read the box throughly first and it didn't say anything :-(

The point is that there is no correlation between cleaning the oven door yesterday and the oven door exploding today. The OP needs to prove the door exploded because of the cleaning.

I'm also suggesting that the OP has failed to read the directions.

It's all here in the thread.

If you read that carefully, you'll see it was actually a question:

    "Is this the stuff"

I can't see any indication that of that on the images.

I once worked in a high performance glass factory, just as a temp, but got to learn a lot over 7 months. As the glass we made was completely bespoke for things like Concorde windows and 747 windscreens, the quality was exceptional. We would manually scratch polish panes with even the tiniest scuff. I was amazed how easy it is to scuff! After bevelling it was stacked vertically with rubber pads between sheets, but where 2 sheets had touched before the rubber pads were dropped in would need polishing out!

Of course oven glass is toughened, however it is amazing how a small nick or scratch can weaken a huge sheet. It's all about the radius of the tip of the crack, so fine scratches can be more dangerous than gouges. I suspect either taking it out, leaning it against something, or refitting it it got a teensy scratch.

Safety glass like this is toughened by giving it high internal stresses. It doesn't leave killer shards, but turns to relatively safe grains. Unfortunately those internal stresses means when it goes, it really goes.

It's stated on the packet. (Item 1 on "cleaning oven and BBQ racks").

Frankly, we've given up on all the proprietary oven cleaners and have started using Vanish.

Mix it to a paste, wipe it on, leave for a few minutes and then wash it off.

My wife does the racks with this method and has been using it on the glass but I think I'll suggest she restricts the Vanish to the metalwork in view of the earlier posts about scratches. It does have a slightly abrasive feel as a paste. The racks are still in pristine condition after nearly two years.
