Hmmmm, not 100% sure but they might be able to get out on the 'only use as directed' element of the instructions...0

Says enamel and stainless steel there. It doesn't say not to use it on glass, but it doesn't say you can either
Think you might be out of luck0 -
he solution removes baked on grease etc i would not expect water to be able to flush it off a surface that easily.
Did you really use a hosepipe to hsoe it down in your kitchen?
There could be remnants of the solution on the door causing a hotspot. Scratched or knocked the glass whilst cleaning.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

The glass is removable my kitchen is tiny so I took it outside to clean it ..sorry I didn't clarify0 -
We had an oven glass shatter like that without using the JML product.
Just cleaned the oven racks using Stardrops and a scourer and took the glass out and cleaned it. Put it back and, next day, opened the door and the glass shattered for absolutely no obvious reason.
It's just one of those things, I'm afraid. That type of glass easily drops to pieces, just like car windscreens will do so occasionally.
Ours cost £50 to get a replacement. Look on the Net for the cheapest place to buy. I can't remember where we bought from but it was well under the price from dealers or the cooker manufacturer.0 -

If she is out of luck it has nothing to do with it not saying you can use the product on glass.
It's oven cleaner. For it to be fit for purpose it must be safe to use on any material that you commonly find in an oven unless explicitly excluded.
However, I don't think the product was actually responsible for the glass breaking. It's much more likely to be due to scratching or general handling. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

This could now introduce a stress point into the glass which will be a weak area when the glass is heated causing it to change into a fracture and the glass exploding due to the pressure release. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Looks to me like the stuff damaged the seals, high pressure water got in and so boiled when the oven was turned on causing the explosion.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
