C-R!!!!! :wave: :j :wave: Sooooooo lovely to 'see' you!!!!! I meant to tell you something: Do you remember a few weeks ago you wrote about writing your future on blank pages? Well, you struck a chord with me. A couple of days after your post, I went out and spent over £140 (:eek:) on a Waterman fountain pen and a journal for my hubby. I gave it to him and told him that it represented the faith I have in him to write the future he dreams of and that the quality of the pen is to remind him what he is striving for. I told him to write his hopes and ideas into the blank pages and to never give up. He writes in it everyday. Thank you for your words that day - they were beautiful and really hit home. X. And your words today have put a huge smile on my face. You have a gift for that!

Very, very happy to hear that the debt busting is about to start in earnest again! Very happy to ride the roller coaster with you also! Girl we are gonna be laughing by summer!

Managed to take another $3 off the balance when I noticed I'd guessed the exchange rate a little light for the necklace return.......now, if the interest is less than I've allowed for......:D

I'm super chuffed because I whizzed round and got 3 Field Agent tasks under my belt today! Nipped into town to post eBay stuff, and didn't spend a penny (apart from the postage) yet came back £9 better off And another £4.50 on the way home from work.

Hi BK, you are doing brilliantly with those tasks - I think I might check after dinner and head out to do some if hubby is up for it.

Hiya brizzle and lovely to see you. I figured he needed it - he's been down lately and a bit fed up. It seems to have helped.

Meanwhile a buy it now auction ended on my Ebay this afternoon and allowed me to slam the cc by another $19!!! Happy, happy HOK3Y!

Today is T minus 10 to credit card freedom. I am quite enjoying the countdown and it is giving me something to focus on when i can't tweak the balance. I hope I sell more between now and then and hopefully drag that balance down even further but I'm not going to stress about it. It will be gone soon. Single digit countdown as of tomorrow!

T minus 9!!!!! Just nine days to kissing (more like kicking...) goodbye to my cc. Cannot bloomin' wait! Managed to skim another $7 off the balance this morning with some additional pennies from Clixsense. Hoping for some more before the end of the week.

Hard to believe that today is hump day - I don't know where the days go. Need to spare a little time this morning to plan an evening to celebrate which will happily coincide with Valentine's Day......hmmm, wonder if everything is booked up! Will make a call or two at lunchtime.

Another $2 down thanks to overestimating the interest charge for the month! It is going down little by little! It would be super to be close to $100 by the end of the weekend.....all my fingers are crossed! I think I am living and breathing this darned cc at the moment!

Oh how fantastic! I also had a happy surprise this morning when my online banking showed that my loan was about £2 less than I estimated too!

Isn't it great when that happens?! It might only be a pound or two but the psychological boost is priceless!


Meanwhile, today is T minus 8. I don't think I have ever anticipated a payday so much! I truly cannot wait for the day when I am debt free and can set my bank to sweep all additional cash to my savings account so that I can actually put my energies into managing other aspects of my life with the same vigour! Can you imagine what we could achieve if we all put the same level of determination that we throw at our debts into something more positive?!? :A Just gotta get through the debt darkness first!

Absolutely, it's so exciting to think what can be achieved once the debt is gone. If I still manage to keep my spending on a similar level, I could save for a deposit on a house in what, a year? Unless of course I move out of the parental home and start renting a place.

But the determination to succeed will remain, I think

Today is T minus 7 - just one week to cc freedom! :eek: :T :j It's hard to believe that we have come so far in a few short months and it has definitely been tough at times but very much worth it. Just one more bill after this and then I am going to make sure that debt is never a long running theme in my life ever again. As soon as we can get a mortgage, I'll be actively working on kissing that sucker goodbye too!


Even better news is that it is Friday! Yay! So looking forward to 5pm this evening when the weekend begins. Hope everyone has had a good week and that the bills have been going down. I am waiting on a payout from a site which should knock the cc under $150 but I won't know until it hits my paypal which might take a few days. Looking forward to changing the total! Meanwhile, come on Ebay!!!!!
