Oh my word it is COLD and WET at the station this morning!! Guess the sun has officially retired for a few months!
Well, time to retreat to the comfort (I can't say 'warmth'!) of home and focus on the debt some more. I live and breathe debt busting right now. I could not be more obsessed with something if I tried and I need it to be that way because it's not the most interesting of journeys!! Everyday I get closer to my goal, each 24 hours is one day of debt behind me and one step closer to being debt free for life. Just have to keep pushing forward.
Dang it! Now my train is late!! Oh well, gives me extra time to read some diaries for motivation! Wishing all my fellow DFWs lots of love and luck today!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
Today has been a really great day for finding coins - I found 13 of them! Well, technically 14 but I couldn't get to the other 5p without looking like a complete idiot and we all have to draw the line somewhere......and considering I was on my hands and knees with hubby tonight in A$da attempting to find some pennies, I figure my line is drawn quite a way out as it is!
Don't know what it is about finding a few pennies that just makes me feel that all is right with the world but I'm feeling pretty mellow. And ready for my bed! Goodnight all my lovely DFW comrades - sleep tight for tomorrow is another debt busting day and you're gonna need your energy!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
Hello Wednesday! Payday is next week (Friday) and I'm a bit surprised at how quickly it has come around. I think the focus on roadkill and receipts has kept my mind off payday so it hasn't draaaaaaaagged like normal! I have a few things to pay out of those pennies so we shall see how much is going to be left to clear debt.
I also have a friends 40th this weekend and it's black tie. I used to own no end of ball gowns.....no more! eBay is a wonderful place! Anyway, I have nothing to wear and still haven't got her a gift......I am not at all organized for this! So I need to sort something ASAP!!

Well done on the penny finding
It's quiet over here today.
You know the best thing about my job is getting paid weekly. I've never been paid monthly, i don't know how i'd cope. All that waiting!! lolSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Hiya crimson! Oh weekly pay would be awesome.....of course, I'd like the weekly amount to be the same as the monthly amount too!
I am really surprised how quickly it is coming around though - it's just flown! I think the major focus on the roadkill is helping though!

Well howdy Thursday! This must mean that tomorrow is Friiiiiiday!
. Hubby is busy preparing his kilt for the party on Saturday and I still don't have a dress! Or present! Oh well!
Had a fantastic day yesterday for w/r - brought home nearly £6! Also a chunk of roadkill. Let's see if we can have a repeat of that today - that would be awesome! We are currently ahead of target for £60 for the month. I would love to hit triple figures but that might be too adventurous.....won't stop me trying!

Also wishing I had brought my hot water bottle!!! This train is bloomin' freezing!!!! I wish i had somewhere to go on a train, i love people watching and that boy sounds sweet
For college and back i used to have a heat pack. They are little jelly things with a disc inside that you click which causes a reaction, the jelly goes solid and heats up. You have to boil them to melt the jelly for next time. Anyway, what i used to do is boil it in the morning and wrap it in something to keep me warm on the way, then it would be ready to click on the way homeSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Well, wow, er where to start......well, I was pretty incensed over the continuing Yodel saga today. I was so mad, in fact, that I read a few MSE threads that lean towards stringing up Yodel's CEO and organising a public flogging. Within one of these threads was the email address for the head of their customer service team. But it was 2 years old. I figured it probably wouldn't work but was worth a shot. One very tersely worded email which clearly listed all the issues and the manager called back with 'bad news' so she got told I didn't care about the package anymore, to send the bloomin' thing back to sender, and that I had complained to the head of customer services. I then told her to google her company and read what people are saying! Hmph!
About 15 seconds after this exchange, Elaine Boyle (aforementioned head of customer services), emailed me to say she had contacted the regional manager and my package would be with me within the hour!!! Glad I was sitting down! I couldn't believe my eyes! I had to read it 3 times! WOW!!!!
So sitting here waiting on our package and can barely believe that hubby's birthday might actually be saved! Sad to have to go that high just to get your package but major kudos to Ms Boyle for moving the mountain!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0
