Hello Monday my old friend. I'm here to talk with you again........where the h*ll did the weekend go?! Cannot believe that I am off to work in a few short minutes!
Very busy weekend with lots of ups and downs but it is payday on Friday which means taking care of some bills and busting some debt......how much debt I am unsure as I have to get my bank account switched so until that settles down, I'm going to be careful, but there will definitely be some pennies paid to the cc.
Today will be more roadkill finding at lunchtime as I have a long walk to the post office with eBay sales to post and w/r hunting this evening. Already doing superbly on that front and on course to smash our £60 target. I would love to hit £100 but not sure it's possible and considering how extreme we already are, I can't see the wiggle room to boost what we're already finding. Hmmm. We'll see!
Hope everyone has a great Monday and makes themselves a few extra pennies!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
Ugh HOK3Y.. I have the same story. OH lost his on a flight last year. He was very upset...put the insurance money towards the debts in June so when we are DF that'll be the first thing to be purchased
Well done on the road kill and economic birthdays. I did the same for a mate this weekend. Had 2 items still in packaging that I knew she'd like that I had impulsively purchased before my most recent LBM..so wrapped them up.
Need to check it fits..but my latest evening dress was £10 from Ebay. Not sure I will ever buy a BN one again!!MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Thanks brizzle and well done on the evening dress - that was quite the deal.
Well, this week is on a rapid course to hell in a hand basket. Think I'll retire for a few days, gather my thoughts, and come back when I'm feeling a little stronger. Take care...0 -
Just catching up on your diary.. Great news about the coffee machine, just shows if you head for the right person then things get done.
Hope to see you back soon, you don't seem the type to fall off the debt free wagonxx
March 2013 LBM so here goes....PAID OFF £6944! Unfortunately have built it all back up again! Amounts to be added up soon! Scare myself into action! 30/05/2018 LBM 20 -
Aw bless you guys for checking in on me!
No, I'm not falling off the DF bandwagon - no way, no how! Forward is the ONLY solution so forward we go! Just had a pretty rough time with the pathetic excuse for a person I used to be married to and didn't feel like dealing with my life for a little while so stepped out of here to let it pass by as much as I could.....if that makes sense!
Anyhooooooo, we are back to normality now.....kinda......and I have yet again accepted that I don't have enough money for a hitman and so we're back to dealing with the situation as is.
Moneywise, things have been good. Yesterday was payday and so I paid some more off the cc........and I am now down 15% of my total debt in August! Hubby has accepted a cheaper replacement wedding ring with the insurance payment all set to go to the cc and we will replace his ring properly when we are debt free and have saved the cash in advance. Hoping to get the payout in the next few weeks. This, along with the payout from the jewellery sale I am expecting before Christmas, will take the cc down to less that £3k - and that doesn't even include the additional pennies I can throw at it between now and then either. If I could pay it off before the New Year, it would be the best Jan 1st ever......what a way to start 2014 but I think I am pushing it.......Universe, see what you can do for me please!!
Meanwhile, I am on a total roll with roadkill and receipts. In the first half of November, we collected almost £50 in vouchers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also have over £12 in roadkill - £4 of which came from a discard lottery ticket......I'll be picking up every one I see now! This morning I was smart enough to put up a link to Qmee that I get 50p for every friend who joins, then used my US paypal to sign myself up again, cashed out $0.66 straight to the US (and it will go right off the cc!) and claimed 50p for signing myself up! Am I happy??? Dang right! Anyone need a link?!?
The only bummer is that hubby order himself some replacement coffee with a voucher he got with the machine. Can you imagine how happy we were to discover a missed delivery card from YODEL last night? Both of us literally groaned at the sight of it. What a total nightmare. So pretty knarked off about that and waiting to see if they even show up today so bang goes all my receipt searching time. Grrrrrr!
Other than that, life is GOOOOOD! Onwards and upwards - kissing goodbye to more debt with every passing day! Keep pushing forwards my lovely DFWs!!!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
