Of course, this throws a little spanner in the financial plan for the week.......I need to prepare some good food. My friend loves top notch food - she cooks and presents her food like masterchef! However, she is not a snob at all and won't care what we feed her....but I will. I can't do close to masterchef standard but I can make some good English food........it will just cost me more than my breaded chicken wraps! So we're thinking salad starter (the Europeans like that), lamb chops and my infamous oven potatoes with butter and onion, followed by my home made raspberry crumble with cream. No white plates and perfect placement - polish pottery and serve yourself! Kind of country kitchen and rib sticking food. God help me if the woman brings wine......last time they cracked 2 €80  bottles and I was absolutely sozzled!! I have to work on Friday!

Love her so much I'd roll out a red carpet if I had one! Anyone know where I can get one? :p Ha, she'd kill me! Last time I stayed at hers I took her flowers and got in trouble for going to trouble. She told me she didn't care about any of that. She was just so happy to have an evening together. God I wish she lived close by. Oooooo, just realized that may be possible some day! Her hubby is English and has family fairly close! Oooooo!

Goodness, ramble over - very excited here as you can tell! So Wednesday is here and my bank rec stood at about £700 out as of 5pm. Yes, you know that theory of it's going to get worse before it gets better? Well, it did! So that's to look at today. But it will be a lovely day as always and I know the day will fly by so I can't complain.

Hope everyone has a great, on plan kinda day! :D

And I've just realized what day it is. I will never forget it. I was married to a US Army officer at the time whose job was counter-intelligence and anti-terrorism and we were assigned to a US military installation in Germany. Just the most horrendous experience from all angles. Thinking today of all those who lost their lives that day, of all the servicemen and women who have lost their lives since, and the families who will never be the same. God bless. Xxx

I can't believe how much time has passed. I still vividly remember where I was and who I was with when we saw that second plane hit. It still sends chills down my spine. RIP all those in the towers that day and much love to all those affected. :A

Thanks wegle! I am major excited and have been pretty useless at work which isn't like me but I can hardly think about anything else! So my bank rec hasn't been touched and the only worthwhile thing I have done all day was to shred some papers.....that I brought in from home.... HOK3Y needs to get a grip!!

Trying to figure out how to absorb the additional £400 expense next week without trashing my debt repayment plan. Gonna be tough as the money I saved from the solicitors wasn't figured into this months numbers. Hmmm. Well, lets see how I do with the matched bets next week and take it from there. Never know, Ebay might just provide a good chunk this weekend and there's always the Euromillions......:D

In the meantime, I've brought lunch to work and am spending nothing until tonight when I have to shop for tomorrow's dinner. Fairly sure I'll walk out of Asda with some roadkill - usually do! Happy debt busting Wednesday to everyone. Xx

Gulp. Major positive wobble this evening and can't fully pinpoint why. Just got back from Asda and spent £85 I hadn't planned for. This included not only all the food for tomorrow night and breakfast the following day, but a new duvet cover for the spare room as the old one was grotty. Happy coincidence? A lamp I was going to take to the carboot is a perfect match to the bedding!

Still, with this and the additional £400 next week, I am now somewhat sweating bullets that I have pulled the safety net out from underneath us by closing that line of credit. I know it had to be done and the vast majority of my persona is happy about it but there's that little niggle of terror at the back of my mind. I've done the right thing. I know it. Why am I so jumpy this evening? Poor hubby doesnt know whether to try to talk to me or run for the hills! :(

Hugs hun. It's perfectly normal to feel how you do. Up until now you've always had that potential safety net and now it's gone it's gonna feel scary. But you know what? It'll be fine. What's going to happen between the end of the month and now that can't wait until pay day or be handled differently. There's not many situations that fit that bill I don't think. You have a roof over your head and food in your belly, everything else is just decoration. And remember where there is a will there is a way.

Have a re-read if some of the chapters you've already completed in the secret and remember how much you've turned your life around in such a short space of time. You have so much to look forward to from now on.

    Big fat cyber hugs!!!! Xxxxx
