Oh that is BRILLIANT news CR!! So glad he has found something. How are the plans going with moving out of London? Any idea on timeframe? Bet you can't wait to get back to kicking those debts some more.

I am feeling so good now that I am exercising again. It's definitely something to keep up. Are you finding that you enjoy the workouts more as you are getting stronger/fitter?

  • Hi Hoks!

timeframe is probably mid-October - we're going to save 4k for the move and that should cover us for rent, deposit, tenancy fees, moving costs reasonably!!! Very excited, although still itching to bust the debts!! Might try and chuck in a few very cheeky full and finals before October as well if i can!

We're used to living on just my income now so hoping we can carry this level forward for next few months!

exercise - dropped off the last week or so but it was getting easier and once I get started I do enjoy it! Hoping with hubs out the way I won't have distractions and can do it as soon as I get in after work!!

Weighed myself though and dropped by 0.7kg since last weigh-in in May! whoop!!!!

    xx

Helloooooooooo!!!! Well done crimson - it feels good to be dropping the pounds, doesn't it?! Hiya CR and brizzle and thanks for checking in on me. I am doing well. I have dropped a fair chunk of pudge and can now fit into some clothes I haven't been able to wear in nearly 2 years. Still a way to go but I'm pretty happy. I ran 10.4 miles on Sunday and was chuffed to bits with myself. Haven't run that far since January 2010! I snagged a pair of white linen trousers in a charity shop a couple of weeks ago and when I got home I found that they were far too tight - my thighs looked like sausages! Anyway, yesterday I pulled them out of the closet and my thighs fit in them and I could fasten them! I still wouldn't wear them out of the house but I reckon I will in about 2 weeks. Happy lady!

Still no word on my visa so I am still stuck here. I am moving in with my sister though on August 1st. Just feel a need to spend as much time as I can with her and her family. It will cost me more as I need to hire a car to get to work but I don't care - just want to be with her.

Mr HOK3Y has secured a job that pays him more than he was getting here! He's very happy! Plus they are awaiting a position opening up so that they can promote him. He is over the moon to have a company see his worth and offer him a job with a wage that will allow us to live a little.

So it is all coming together - just my embassy paperwork that is now holding up the process. I am hopeful we will hear something in the next couple of weeks. I have been without my hubby for nearly 7 weeks now and it's getting a little old!

How is everyone else doing? I am working such long hours that I don't get on here very much. Hope life is being kind to you all. xx

So here I am and in need of a VENT. I am super stressed out at work, my husband is thousands of miles away, and I am living in a town where I don't really know anyone. Add to this my ex rearing his ugly head AGAIN and I've taken a nosedive today. I did not get out of bed until 2pm and I am still unsure as to how I managed that.

Hubby was an absolute d*ck yesterday and pretty much cut me dead or didn't speak to me. I sent him a couple of lengthy messages which he responded to with a thumbs up and when I asked if he was okay he said yes and that he was going out......then nothing all day. Now, I was out with a friend in the afternoon but still took time to message him. He, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with me and reckons he was out at the movie theatre.......what, for the entire 10 hours when we were both simultaneously awake?! If I was on the other side of the Atlantic, I'd have give him one hell of a wake up call. Now today, he wants to talk and has sent me message after message and loads of photos. I, however, still want to spit fire in his general direction.

I think what he fails to realise is that I don't really want to leave my home country, my family, my friends, or my job - but I am doing it because I think we will have a better life in the end. He hasn't cottoned on that when he does stuff like this, my reaction is to think, "Hang on, I'm leaving my home, my support system in all the people I care about (except him), a great job and I am moving there where I will totally be at his mercy for a while......and he's f*ckin' ignoring me?! Maybe this isn't such a great idea!" Well, he might just get that levelled at him today because I am not a happy camper!
