Well, I am now officially on my own. Mr H jetted off this morning and I have spent the day keeping myself distracted with last minute moving stuff. Tomorrow I am meeting a friend for a cuppa before moving, finally, into my new place. Feeling a little nervous about the next few months but determined to knuckle down and get on with it.
Spending my last night at my sisters. She is away on holiday so I have the house to myself and I am just enjoying the peace and quiet. She lives in a beautiful location and I absolutely love being here. Hard though, as it reminds me (quite painfully) of what I am going to be leaving behind. Who doesn't love the NY dales? It's so beautiful out here and that hits me every time I drive anywhere.
So Monday morning sees the start of a new routine. Here's hoping I get settled soon and make some peace with the idea of moving.Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -

Hiya brizzle and thanks for checking in on me. Yeah, I am doing pretty good....well better than that to be fair. I'm feeling really excellent at the moment. Tomorrow is my first paycheck where I don't owe money to anyone, I've settled into my new place really well, and Mr HOK3Y seems to be doing okay back in the States so I'm just plodding along and taking advantage of some serious alone time!
One thing I have started again this week is my running. I used to live to run until I sustained a knee injury. Never been so frustrated in my life! Anyway, I never got back into it properly and I have put about 2 stone on since I moved home 2 years ago. So that definitely needs sorting out! So, I have started running again, I have cleaned up my food intake considerably, and I've added some resistance training also. Time to move some different kind of pounds!
Living out here is proving heavenly. It is very quiet (no more noisy neighbours thumping about above us - yay!) and the fresh air seems to be helping me sleep like the dead! My head goes down and I am OUT for the count. It's wonderful. I haven't slept this well in forever. I feel relaxed and strong. How will I ever leave?!
So hoping to start dropping some weight in the next few weeks. I have no scale so will have to rely on my clothes instead. I plan on knocking Mr HOK3Y's socks off when I finally see him again! Also need to de-stress a bit.....a lot!! It's been a tough few years and I need to let it wash over me a little now. I need to stop wearing the stress of it all....it doesn't look good on me!
Hope everyone is doing well and pushing forward. I wish everyone here a happy and debt free future. Just gotta keep moving in the right direction. xCredit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
Hey Hok3y, great to hear you are loving your new pad. When do you hope to go and be with Mr H? What are your plans for this paycheck, are you going to get yourself a treat?
Have a great weekend0 -
Hi pap!
How are things with you? I need to stop by your diary - will drop in later today when I get back from work. I think it will be a couple of months before I can join him. It all depends on how quickly the paperwork goes through. I really don't know at this point. And yes, I did treat myself. I was extremely naughty. I have put a ring away in a jewellers. Every week that I workout and eat clean, I am going to go in and pay some money off it. Jewellery is my downfall but it's also a massive motivator for me!
I am feeling pretty darn chuffed with myself as I have just go back from a 4+ mile run!!!! Longest run in 2-3 years and I thought the last mile might be the death of me! Really pleased with myself for pushing through it. Going to try that run every weekend for the next month (with shorter runs through the week) until it feels comfortable before I push a longer one.
I feel pretty amazing for completing it!
Now to hop in the shower and get ready for a few hours in the office. Hope everyone is enjoying the sensational weather.Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -

Hiya C-R! Yeah, the office is a bit mad at the moment - one staff member down at the worst possible time. We're bringing in a new computer system so the team's workload has doubled.....and a staff member bailed. Nightmare! So I have been working some long hours and weekends to try to stop the workload drowning my team. It's working so far. We have a new team member starting tomorrow and I have high hopes for her. We shall see because she's going in at the deep end!
Okay, you got me....what are T25 workouts? One of the partners at work has told me there is a military fitness program running in one of the parks here 3 times a week. I'm going to check it out and see if I fancy giving it a go also. This weight has GOT to go! I have no idea what I weigh but my best guess isn't pretty. I'm just going to assess myself with my clothes and yesterday I bought a pair of white cropped jeans in a size 8 for the journey to the US......I currently stand at a 14. Mark my words, I will be wearing them on the plane over!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
its those insane workouts they advertise on those early morning infomercials!!!!
Its only 25 minutes a day 5 days a week but it is HARDCORE!!!!!!!!
but you can feel the goodness!
I have though been eating a few magnums this weekend so having been sticking to any dietplan (except healthy suppers!!!) so maybe won't see massive reductions! I will get back to you though! If you google t25 workout you can see all the amazing before and after pics - we got it from a friend so didn't buy it!!!

Ah right, well if you can get in a good workout in 25 minutes, why not? They seem to come out with new things like this all the time. What was the last one I heard about....P90X was it? I first got the fitness bug from Billy Blanks Tae-bo. I had a set of VHS tapes and I was totally addicted to it! From there I started going to the gym and just got fitter and leaner until I was in the best shape of my life AFTER having my babies. I need to get back to it. I feel awful in myself at the moment.
Having said how proud of myself I was for the earlier run, I am now paying the price. I think I have given myself mild heatstroke. When I got to work, I couldn't think straight. In fact, I wasn't seeing things properly - as if my brain wasn't interpreting what I was seeing quite right. And I could feel a headache starting but I didn't have any medication with me. Drank tons of water. Came home and am currently laid in bed with a dreadful headache and feeling fairly sorry for myself. Still glad I ran though!
You've definitely got to get the food right too, C-R. Diet will only take you so far, and working out will only get you so far - you have to put the two together and do both WELL to really see results. Biggest mistake that women make from my observations? They don't work out hard enough - you have got to push yourself although I would imagine the T25 sessions are no walk in the park. I have a friend who cycles and swims but you need to be hardcore - forget leisurely pace! Same with diet, you need to really change it and you need to be okay with being hungry on a night. I get to a point where I enjoy going to bed hungry - plus it makes me go to bed earlier to sleep it away!
Dying to see some results although I noticed today that after a week of clean eating and lots of exercise, the bloat is going down and my jeans aren't as tight - yahoo!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
that does sound like heatstroke hoks - do you have some re-hydration salts you can dissolve to re-balance yourself?
well - I've lost over a pound since last week when we started! Now we're getting into the habit we're going to push ourselves harder this week! I think that's a good amount?!
Let's push this!!!!
xx
ps - forgot to say it is high-impact workout!!!Debts @ LBM (May 2013): £25,250.27 | Debt Free: May 2015 :j:j0
